I'm a tOSU fan first and Cavalier second, cheering for LeBron doesn't hurt us in anyway. He's about to enshrine himself as the #1/2 guy of all time. I'll forever be thankful for 2016.

So LeBron could be the first and only to win titles as a starter with three different franchises?

To answer my own question, YES. The only guy that even would have an argument to be alongside him in that stat is Robert Horry, but he didn't start a single playoff game for the Spurs in either of the seasons they won a title with him, and usually was a Spurs backup during those regular seasons, so he doesn't meet my starter criteria for all three franchises. So LeBron is one win away from making history again.

With an LA title this year, LBJ, Horry and John Salley would be the only players with titles on 3 different franchises.

Oops, forgot about Danny Green. He also would qualify with a Lakers title this year. So it would be LBJ and Danny Green both. LeBron would be the only all-star to ever win titles on three different franchises, and the only player to average at least 10 ppg for three different NBA franchises during championship seasons.

LeBron would be the NBA's "Mr October" if only they played the Finals every fall.

LeBron James whines about NBA's play-in tournament, but the postseason scale was tipped in his favor for years

Like MLB's wild card expansion, the NBA's play-in tournament should be adopted permanently

LeBron James doesn't like the NBA's new postseason format, which includes a play-in tournament for the Nos. 7 and 8 seeds. As it works, only the top six seeds are guaranteed a playoff spot. The 7-8 seeds have to win a play-in series to get in, and the 9-10 seeds have to win two series.

"Whoever came up with that s--- needs to be fired," LeBron said of the play-in tournament, after the Los Angeles Lakers' loss to Toronto on Sunday night.
