Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

No dog in this at all. But I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. No Paul George. Leonard likely won’t be traded to LA and to even get out of the West he will have to get past OKC, HOU and GS? All 3 or a combo of the 3. If winning a title or 2 was the goal LA, to me makes the least sense. But I hate the NBA so what the hell do i know?

:slappy:

Seems more like a move for his post-NBA life. Best of luck to him.
Figure that and he's tired of the Finals record weighing on him. Won't have to worry about that because the Lakers (as of now) aren't doing anything in the playoffs. Oh well, his stats and "Witness" moments I've watched tell me enough about his career on the court. No clue and don't care what he does with these last 4 years. I'll pretend they don't exist

Now I'm seeing stories of Demarcus Cousins being a target for the Lakers. Still, that's a hard road to the Finals.

OKC? They didn't do shit last year. The only threats as of now are GS and Houston.

Cavs should have picked Porter Jr.

Sat him out for the year

Locked the top pick (or at least best odds) and rebuilt with two stars......

Oh well, I'll at least watch the team now during the regular season. Lebron is the best player I've ever seen (and I've seen Jordan)....but the regular season was horrible with him. Unwatchable. And the playoffs came down to hero ball....he did amazing things, but it was not team ball. He willed this Cavs team everywhere it went.

I can't hate on him for leaving the Cavs trainwreck of a roster, but I figured he'd go someplace with good young talent. I don't see him sniffing the Finals even if they can work out a deal for Kawhi without giving up every valuable player on their roster. I guess he isn't really all about winning. In the long run this is actually great for fans of the NBA because the Warriors will dominate their way to 5 titles in a row and the league will be forced to change the rules to at least limit super teams. Maybe something like if you finish in the top 4 you can't sign a top 10 player as a FA. I think the Warriors roster is full of a bunch of pussy ass shitheads, but I at least respected the way they built their team until they signed KD. The Cavs need to pull off some OKC or GS draft magic over the next 4-5 years rather than the shit show we're used to.

Move makes little sense to me, but best of luck. The 4 year deal is a kick in the balls tho.

He didn't mind signing one and one or 2 and one contracts when he was in his prime since he knew he was going to keep being great for the foreseeable future. He wants the guaranteed 4 years now because he knows he isn't going to be worth what he is making by the time it's over. This was really the last shot he had at signing a max deal of any type. He worked the Cavs for as much money as he could get every season, but if they had drafted well over the years he was gone and had a good young team around him I guarantee he would have signed a 5 year deal with the Cavs today. He just left 50 mil on the table by giving up his Bird rights. I put this one squarely on Chris Grant and Dan Gilbert for doing a shitty job when he was gone the first time. They had exactly 1 good draft pick the whole time he was gone.

They ran such an inept operation that the "1 good draft pick" forced a trade to a conference rival. Truly inept stuff.
