I'm looking at replacing my older 17" Samsung Syncmaster LCD with a newer wide screen model. I saw a deal at Best Buy for an Acer 20" LED model S202HL ($75 after rebate). Does anyone have an experience with Acer monitors?

Thanks... BFlorida

As I always say, search on Slickdeals by title for questions on gadget deals. Best buy is rarely the best option and rebates are a hassle.

We would need a model for more specific feedback. There are a variety of monitors, with varying resolutions, color accuracy, ghosting, viewing angles.

This 22" model was under 100 a month ago.

A quick perusal shows your monitor may be the cheapest option, but you need to compare the specs, viewing angles, color reproduction, smooth or lagging fast motion display, etc.

Ok full report - I picked one of these up this morning at Best Buy for $75 after local Mass rebate. So far so good... While the colors are not a perfect replicate of my MacBook Pro screen, they are pretty close, at least according to my eye. Right now I am running the monitor through VGA, so the colors will likely be improved by a switch to the DVi cable later.

Because I am using it as a second monitor for my laptop, the lower height is perfect. I would recommend it if you can get a deal and need a budget monitor.
