Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

“In the offseason, we found something that was a concern,” Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said before the 2020 season. “For this year, he wasn’t cleared to play. That’s why he’s not on the roster right now, because he wouldn’t be cleared for the season."

As spring practice continues, Michigan football will have to prepare for another loss.

Receiver Giles Jackson entered the NCAA transfer portal Monday, becoming the seventh scholarship player on the Wolverines' roster to do so since mid-January.

Jackson was Michigan's most dynamic special teams contributor since he joined the program in 2019. He scored on a kickoff each of the last two seasons while averaging 26.4 yards per return in his 16-game career.

Hilarious. Nine year old former Tennessee fan announces he's in the "Fan Transfer Portal" and wrote to Saban, Coach O and Kiffin.

Saban responded. So did Coach O. Amazingly, Tennessee didn’t.

But Junior was the winner.

And then, the phone call came.

“I got a message that said, ‘Coach Kiffin would like to recruit Landon. Is he available for a phone call?’” Justin said. “I thought maybe it was going to be an assistant or somebody saying they’d send us a shirt or a hat or something like that.”

But not long after, Kiffin was on the phone.

“Landon answered the phone and it was Coach Kiffin on the other end,” Justin said. “It was shocking to both of us.”
