Los Angeles Lakers (17x NBA Champions)

Paul George signs an extension in OKC. Why? Because dumb ass Magic Johnson drafted Lonzo Ball and the side show known as his father.

No one wants to deal with that bullshit, and the Lakers deserve it. :slappy:
Their fans were so certain they were going to go from one of the NBA’s worst teams to best. If it all falls apart, it will be absolutely fucking glorious.

Does LeBron really want to go to LA if it’s a complete train wreck? Sure, Cleveland needs some big time changes, but it seems to STILL be his best option, financially and talent-wise.

This guy should've typed "duh" when he wrote that BOLD line.

With San Antonio believed to be uninterested in Lonzo Ball, the Lakers have three other intriguing young players — Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart — plus their future first-round picks to include in a deal. That seems a little odd. Ball’s rookie season wasn’t a massive success, at least not for a No. 2 overall pick, but he still holds plenty of upside. However, there is one very big elephant in the room when it comes to Ball’s value.

Could the Spurs want no part in LaVar Ball?

They still are.

I'll say this much, if any player can tell LaVar to shut the fuck up it's LBJ. The question is, how much does LBJ have left? He looked great this season, but he'll turn 34 early in the next one. Four more years? We'll see.

Landed in Indy; update on Lakers-Pelicans talks. Magic Johnson, Dell Demps talked twice today, per source. Lakers willing to give Pelicans cap relief for Anthony Davis by taking Solomon Hill for Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ingram, Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Beasley, 2 1st round picks... the ball boy, the janitor, 4 security guards, 3 parking attendants, a ticket agent, the team masseuse, hair stylist, and naming rights to the first born or every assistant that stays with the Lakers

Kobe Bryant wonders why the Lakers didn't draft budding Celtics star Jayson Tatum

“If Zo wants to take some advice from Kobe, on doing what? Passing, shooting? Him and Kobe don’t even have the same game,” LaVar told “Rolling Stone” magazine. “Zo can take whatever he wants from him, but I’m looking at it like, Zo is where he’s at because of what I have done with him.” :slappy:

Rumor: Lakers owner Jeanie Buss pushed Magic Johnson to draft Lonzo Ball

Stephen A. Smith of ESPN:
What I’m about to say, Magic Johnson would categorically probably deny. That’s my friend, my brother. I love him. If Magic Johnson was sitting next to me on national television and he said opposite or contrary to what I’m about to tell you, I’d tell him, “That’s a d— lie, and you know it.”
Magic Johnson would not have drafted Lonzo Ball if were not for Jeanie Buss.
Jeanie Buss needed a box-office draw. LaVar Ball, the marketing wizard that he is, put his son in our minds’ eye, had us thinking this brother out of Chino Hills starring for UCLA is going to be special in the pros.
