Los Angeles Rams (official thread)

Anybody remember this play?

Rams propose to close double-pass loophole after bizarre Tom Brady play in 2020

One of the strangest plays of the 2020 season occurred when the Los Angeles Rams visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a Monday Night Football matchup in Week 11. It happened in the fourth quarter when Tom Brady threw a pass that was batted at the line, and subsequently caught by the quarterback. He then threw it downfield to Mike Evans for an 8-yard completion, just short of the first-down line.

It was a bizarre play that featured two forward passes, and it actually counted for an 8-yard gain. That’s because the Rams declined the penalty to make it fourth-and-2, allowing the completion to stand from Brady to Evans.

Had they accepted the penalty, it would’ve pushed the Buccaneers back 5 yards, but it would’ve remained third down.

Well, the Rams are attempting to close that loophole this year. They submitted a rule proposal to the league that would cause a double-forward pass to result in a 5-yard loss and a loss of down.
  1. By Los Angeles Rams; to amend Rule 8, Section 1, Article 2, to add a loss of down for a second forward pass from behind the line and for a pass thrown after the ball returns behind the line.
It’s a play that rarely happens, but since it happened to the Rams last season, it only makes sense that they would try to amend it by preventing the offense from benefitting from it. Fortunately, the Rams held on to win 27-24, so the completion didn’t wind up hurting them.

It's Safe To Say The Rapper Blueface Will Not Be Invited Back To A Rams Game Ever Again After Turning It Into A Strip Club

Ah yes, the Rams game, a nice outing for your family on a lovely Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. Until you end up in the section next to Blueface who is throwing *checks notes* $1 bills at a bunch of strippers in his suite. I may just be an old man yelling at clouds here, but you gotta ban Blueface from the league for this sorta thing. I'd like to know how they all even managed to get into that suite dressed to the nines like that, but then again it's LA so anything goes.

Blueface turned an NFL game into a strip club, but you won't believe what happened next

When rapper Blueface showed up, he made SoFi Stadium look more like a strip club than an Los Angeles Rams home game.

He made it rain in LA (and so did the Pittsburgh Steelers, who beat the Rams 24-17) , but what was more surprising was how the game ended for Blueface, who is a bachelor no longer.

Blueface brings strippers to Rams-Steelers game

Blueface, whose short-lived rap career has been supplanted by a consistent place in celebrity blogs, sparked interest on his Instagram, as he posted wild videos from the sidelines of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

He was partying with four scantily-clad dancers and a few other women in the background, including his girlfriend Jaidyn Alexis. He threw one dollar bills as if it was a strip club and posted it all on his Instagram stories to his 2.5 million followers.

That's right, Blueface's mission was not to get a lap dance at the NFL game, it was to get married. In a separate video posted by Jaidyn's best friend Quincy J, the LA rapper got on one knee and proposed with an incredible ring. Despite the antics before, his girlfriend said yes. And yes, that was the plan all along.

Ex-Rams DT Aaron Donald feels 'complete' after 10-year career

In his first interview since announcing his retirement from the NFL, former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald said Friday he is "leaving at peace" and on his own terms.

"I'm complete," Donald said in an interview with his wife, Erica. "I'm full. I think the passion to play the game is no longer there for me. I will always love football, but to think about going through another camp and another 17-[game] season, I just don't got the urge to want to push myself to do that no more.

"I'm burnt out. The best way to say it is I'm full, I'm complete. I'm satisfied with what I was able to do in 10 years."

Donald announced his retirement on March 15 after 10 seasons. In those 10 seasons, Donald was a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, an eight-time first-team All-Pro, a 10-time Pro Bowl selection and the 2014 Defensive Rookie of the Year..

Donald finished his career with 111 sacks, second most among primary defensive tackles in a career (behind John Randle's 137.5) since individual sacks became an official statistic in 1982. He holds the Rams' franchise record for career sacks.

Last season, Donald had 8 sacks and 53 total tackles in 16 games and was named first-team All-Pro.

"I accomplished everything and more than I even thought was possible," Donald said. "Coming to the NFL, I just wanted to get there and be the best defensive tackle. But to be considered the best player in the National Football League, to be considered the best defensive player in the National Football League, to win as many individual accolades I did and win ... I just feel like it's nothing I didn't get to feel as an individual success to team success."

Just sayin': In 5 years he'll be in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame.
