replacing a lot from last year (7 of 8 starting position players plus regular DH).

good luck to your Tigers! That series at ND should be fun to watch

i'm glad we're finally at least acting like we want to play some decent road games/series.
for years, I think that has held us back at the end of the year with seeding because we rarely travel.

but this year with playing @ Lamar, @ that shithole down river, and @ Notre Dame is a top in the right direction.

2 of those are quality programs that are fairly well respected. The other is still living off their brief moment of non-suck during the Smoke regime at LSU, but still are looked at by the committee as being OK.

we also get the "neutral" site game against the Penis Envies from Lafayette.

starting rotatation for opening weekend finally announced:

Fri - Jared Poche
Sat - Alex Lange
Sun - John Valek

Lange will be the ace and Friday starter before conference play rolls around.

Poche is in his last year here. Mainieri typically gives guys like that the opening night start as sort of an honor for their careers.

Valek is a transfer from Akron who may not hold on to that 3rd weekend starter spot.

I'm curious as to why there is a lsu baseball specific thread, I'd think this would roll into an ncaa baseball 2016. I don't see why we would 1) give a damn about lsu baseball 2)support their brand. My stomach turns every time I see this on recent posts over anything Ohio state

Well....

1. There are football threads about Michigan, Penn St., Notre Dame, Texas and a host of other teams that are not Ohio State.
2. Louisiana State is one of the top college baseball programs in the country and one I would love Ohio State to emulate.
3. Our friend Nutria is a big supporter of the program and we like to discuss it in here with him.

I understand where you are coming from, but BP is a big site that can cater to many diverse topics. I'm not one to say "Well, don't read it then", but it is easy to ignore.
