Nutria, I know with them being "your team" you see it differently, but to me, I'm not surprised at all. This is what top programs so and LSU is certainly one of the top programs.

prior to the season, the expectations were the usual. challenge for SEC title, host a regional, be in discussion for a national seed.

then this team started out of the gates slow. 2-4 to open conference play. got beat by several instate teams, etc.

When the month of May started, yeah we was going to be in the postseason, but hosting looked like a pipe dream.
now we're a freaking National Seed.

season over. swept at home by Coastal Carolina.
they simply outplayed us all weekend. we couldn't hit with RISP to save our lives this weekend, and they did.

all in all, I think we over achieved this year by making it this far.
i really didn't think we would make much noise this season. figured we would be on the road somewhere for regionals. never imagined we'd be a National Seed.

It is okay because we understand. You guys have such cold weather down there, like us, that it is difficult to get in enough practice time early in the season. Coastal Carolina is a totally different story because they are in the 80s all year round:wink:

and for the 20 something year in a row, we lead the country in attendance by a wide margin.

with over 9,000 season tickets sold, we didn't have to sell a single individual ticket all year to retain the lead in attendance.

Am I missing something or is there no Arizona State listing? Or USC? Or any other Pac-12 team save Arizona (the defending champs, I think).

Good Lord! At least we have cold weather for an excuse (and still have as many teams in the top 25 in attendance as the Pac-12)
