I watched a long time ago a video of refs benefiting LSU. Well this play can be added to the film for sure?

What is everyones take on it, you would think that a ref without pads on would not want to try and take down a player, but it sure looks like this one tried.

(Earlier in the game USC benefited from a ref getting in the way of a LSU defender on a cross route. I can't help but think the ref was upset that the QB made him look stupid by passing it there earilier but who knows.)

I wouldn't really have a problem with this, but after a few viewings, I can't figure out why he would move the right side of his body in that way, unless he was trying to make contact with the player.

I was thinking maybe he was trying to get out of the way of the play, but he made no effort to get out of the way.. looked like he made an effort to make contact..

I'm not even a conspiracy theorist. :shake:
