LSU Tigers (official thread)

*edit- I guess you could count Earle's last year along with Cooper's first five. ('87-'92), but even those years weren't as bad as some of the funks other powers have gone through.

Those years were by far the darkest hours in the 40+ years I've been watching.

OSU was a weak, under talented, regional power at best in those days. It was fucking awful.

Yep. And that fucking Liberty Bowl...woof. I was just in junior high those years, so the passion wasn't as strong, but I remember it vividly.

If I was in his physical vicinity I would have actually tried to kill Cooper that night.

That was the last Buckeye football game I got to watch with my grandpa. Thanks, Coop. :ohbrother:

Harbaugh's "guarantee", I was there.

Iowa's Marv Cook carrying half of our defense into the end zone as time expired, I was there.

Indiana's first win since 1959, I was there.

Starting to think it was my fault. :bonk:

Guess I owe you an apology. One day in the autumn, I was driving my daughter home from elementary school. Maybe we were heading to the Grandview Kroger's, because we cut thru campus around Lane Ave. Cooper was out with the team and pretty much ran in front of my car.

Missed opportunity. tsk :shake:
