LSU Tigers (official thread)

Is there any win where the linemen won't dumb Gatorade on a coach any more? FYI Nute, that was a fumble in the 1st OT. You won. But for letting them score at will for 7 OTs, the Football Gods were angry and did not bring out the Karma Klub.

the record book says we’re 9-3 with a shitastic offense.

we paid a guy $12 million to never coach us again for these exact results.

the new guy is 0-3 against coaches listed as potentential Les Miles replacement.
2 of those 3 losses are to guys currently in their first year in the job.

everything run by the State of Louisiana is in the verge of bankruptcy. A century of legendary corruption (Chicago ain’t got shit on NOLA) will do that to you.

however, the LSU athletic department (and more specifically, TAF) is a completely separate entity and doing just fine financially. mainly because that money can’t be pillaged to line somebody’s pocket for a non existent bridge on their brother-in-law’s property.

LSU athletic department donates millions to the academic side every year.

allow me to clear this up a little.

back in ‘99/‘00, Mark Emmert (then LSU president) hired Nick Saban.

Emmert, Saban, and Skip Bertman made it very clear to EVERYONE, that the inmates were no longer running the asylum.

administration was now in complete control.
and LSU flourished!

that has slowly eroded away.
Emmert left has has been replaced with cronies of the governor (at the time).
Saban left and Miles held serve.
Skip retired and was replaced with a piece of shit yes man.

so we now have burned $12million dollars to fire a guy for going 9-3 with a shitastic offense. and hired a guy to go 9-3 with a shitastic-er offense, with a hefty buyout.

and somehow convince the masses that this is progress.

Funny thing to me right now?

All the Tiger wailing and gnashing of teeth about the officiating when just a few years ago, Nebraska went into College Station and had 16 penalties for 145 yards. Compare that to 2 penalties for 10 yards against the Aggies. Two of those penalties against the Huskers were 30 yards worth when Ben Cotton's cotton balls were getting hand picked ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.

Has a team ever had more than 145 yards in penalties and won The Game?

I heard a talking head say that all the calls were going the Buckeyes' way today. Fell out of my chair and broke both arms.
Teddy Greenstein actually wrote in the Chicago Tribune that TTUN "benefited from several 50-50 (at best) calls, including a phantom pass interference during a second half touchdown drive. Officials flagged the Buckeyes 12 times for 150 yards."

He's covered the B1G for years, and it looks like he saw what most of us did.

on a more serious note though:

most details are being kept pretty hush.
only thing being reported is a Craigslist deal gone south and the killing was in self defense.

as far as rules, my only guess (and really just a guess), is if the “electronic item” was purchased by them, and not like a bowl gift or something, they free to sell it if they choose.

i’m not sure how offing a guy is worded in rule book though.

I think it’s classified as ‘frowned upon’

Even if it was self-defense and the sale was legit, at the end of the day, these guys were rolling strapped. How is that not a team violation? If this were Ohio State, we'd be getting raked through the national press as an out of control program where the players carry handguns. And did the player have a concealed carry permit? I'm going to go out on a limb and say, "no."
