Man Arrested For Not Tipping Waitress Enough

Charlie Sheen giving $1K to waiter who got 20-cents from LeSean McCoy

so

Apparently, the quickest way to get rich these days isn't by winning the lottery or selling a video to TMZ. All you have to do is serve LeSean McCoy at a restaurant, hope he doesn't tip you well and then let Charlie Sheen take care of the rest.

Sheen tweeted on Wednesday that he's going to give $1,000 to a server that McCoy stiffed this week.

Just sayin': If famous people (i.e. like celebrities/athletes) aren't going to tip you would think that they would be smart enough to pay in cash so the waitress doesn't have a credit card receipt with the person's name/signature on it to post on the internet.

Tip shaming on social media is fucking pathetic. I tip generously. Always have. But if you're not going to celebrate and let everyone know when a celebrity gives you a 50% tip, then quit fucking whining when you get stiffed. Don't want a job that depends upon the generosity of strangers? Don't be a server.

The craziest shit is that servers act like there's not a single one of them thats ever sucked at their job. If you go out to eat and some hungover asshole is rude, doesn't bring you but a single drink and some cold food, tough shit. Apparently you should still give them money because...?

Just when you thought the LeSean McCoy 20-cent tip story couldn't get more ridiculous...it got more ridiculous.

McCoy's receipt, which you can see at the top of the page, has now been put up for auction on eBay where 142 people have placed a bid on it so far.

Is it legal to sell receipts ? I have a feeling.... that's not kosher.
Also guessing most of those bids aren't real.

Never understood tipping in modern society. This isn't the depression anymore... it's the only business I'm aware of where the employer can pay their employees f-all, bypassing minimum wage that everyone else has to deal with, keep all the profit for themselves and guilt-trip consumers into giving larger and larger % of tips. I know Milli's comment is like 10 years old now, but can't blame the Japanese either -- they don't tip (even tax is also included in listed prices since early 2000s) and service in Japan is 1000 times better. Even knowing that waiters/waitresses are reliant on tips here I rarely give more than 15% just b/c the level of service doesn't warrant it. So they're probably under-tipping b/c a) they don't "get it"; b) compared to their norm this is bad service.
