Ok here is a prop bet worth looking at;

B1G total wins in 1st round Over 4 1/2 +167
B1G total wins in 1st round Under 4 1/2 -208

The implied odds of the under are just a touch over 68%

MSU vs Miami
Purdue vs Vermont
*ichigan vs Oklahoma State
Minny vs MTSU
Maryland vs Xavier
Northwestern vs Vanderbilt
Wisky vs VT

So 5-2 is what they would have to do to beat the Under. I know nothing about the opponents, I just know the B1G is dog[Mark May].

I'm thinking the odds of them going 5-2, or better, are less than 32% which would make the under a +EV play

Thoughts?
That's really tough. I could see B1G winning every game I could also see them losing almost every game.

In the bracket I did, I have wins from scUM, Minny, NW and Wisky.

Of course, I could see many of those going either way.

UC Davis will take on Kansas. FWIW their coach, Jim Les, led Bradley to the Sweet 16 in 2004-5 after an upset of...Kansas.

Adjust your brackets accordingly. :pimp:

Providence led USC by 15 at halftime but lost 75-71. Trojans will take on SMU, and we're ready for the real 64-team tournament.

Let the games begin.

When it comes to brackets I'm a set-it-and-forget-it guy. For example, I'm not rooting for fucking Notre Dame just because I picked them in my bracket.

Come on, Princeton!

i hate my bracket. it's very chalky. i looked at each team's stats and schedule. i just couldn't find surprises like i have in previous tournaments.

for example, i love lowly seeded teams that had at least one close loss to a highly seeded team during non-conference play. i didn't see as much of that this year.

now i await a bunch of upsets...

people who root for favorites because it helps their bracket are just the worst kind of people. you can root for 2 things in the tournament.....your favorite teams*, and upsets. that's it, as far as I'm concerned.

*"favorite teams" encompasses both your favorite team and teams you love to root against. like, if Duke is a 5 playing a 4, fuck you Duke.
