Marlins trade...their team (U MAD Loria?)

He promised the fans that he would build a winning team if they voted to build him a stadium. They voted to build him a stadium, and he turned around and sold off every bit of talent on the team.

If the Marlins average more than 10K fans a game next year, their fans deserve every bit of the Cleveland Steamer that they just received.

Really a sad situation for the little fan base that they have down there. And it looks as if this trade is going to go through. Loria just lining his pockets on this deal. He did it in Montreal as well. You would have thought that MLB learned its lesson from that fiasco, but apparently not.

 This management has totally screwed the fans down here. I don't give a shit about baseball to begin with, but the owners and management have done everything they can to NOT pay any money for anything (i.e. got Miami-Dade to foot the entire bill for that stadium sitting in the middle of a bad area, with no real parking to speak of), then they hire and overpay Ozzie because, hey, he is latino and all the latinos will come to the game becasue of him, right? Oh yeah, the cubans hate him, oops. Now they are selling off anyone and anybody that is making more than league minimum. There is no real fanbase to speak of down here since everyone is from somewhere else (usually the upper East Coast) and are already diehards for the Yankees, Phllys, Red Sox, etc.

There is a big automobile mogul down here that has been trying to expose this ownership from the get go and no-one wanted to listen to him. He is probably kicking back, lighting a cigar with a $100 and laughing at how stupid Miami-Dade was to not listen to him in the first places this morning.
