Is anyone out there upset with the way Ohio State, aka Andy Geiger is handling this situation????? Albeit, Reese made some mistakes, some bad judgment, but to be punished for the whole year is ridiculous. Geiger is acitng as judge and jury in this case. I believe it is personal, once Reese called him a liar during the Fiesta Bowl, his fate was sealed. Remember, Ohio State should act as the adults in this situation and they are not. THey have the fate of this young man at stake, and they have not even prepared their answer to the NCAA. I think the powers that be and the all important Alumni should have the AD by this throat. This is nonsence, sorry but Ross and Hall dont hold a candle to Clarett. If this team does badly this year, thank Andy Geiger, he should be REPLACED!

No, I'm not upset with how this is being handled. Geiger is handling this with a lot of class. He and the Tressels have been blind sided by accusations based on the word of a pathological liar, a lazy crybaby who couldn't make the two deep, and a convicted felon. The crybaby and felon have since said they were misquoted and misrepresented. It still doesn't change their status as sources.

Clarett had every chance to set things straight, play by the rules and put his career back on track to be the latest great back at Ohio State. He chose to blow off all of his chances, class and a Hall of Famer who wanted to do nothing but help him.

His sense of entitlement is now legendary. He was given the chance to fly home for the funeral. He chose to not fill out the proper paperwork and just expected to be flown home for free. And he pawned the fault on the university.

He received improper benefits from a booster. Granted, this booster was from his high school days. But that is irrelevant. He received benefits and perks he shouldn't have. He the proceeded to lie to the university and the NCAA about it not once, not even twice, but 17 frickin' times.

He was then given a chance to fix himself and if he met all points laid out for him, the school would petition to get his amatuer status reinstated. He met none of those points.

How you can insinuate that the university or Andy Geiger is handling this improperly is beyond me. I would have been considerably less couth.

No, Idiot, Geiger is one of the better AD's Ohio State has ever had. He's handled this situation as well as anybody could. As for "Reese", he has demonstrated time after time after time that he is a selfish, radioactive boob. The fact that he may be a better back than Ross and Hall put together isn't exactly the point anymore, now is it?

Uh, you guys do realize this thread was started over a year ago, right? Not that it isn't fun to insult someone, but this probably made a little more sense back before Clarett (assclown) was even suspended for the whole year...

However, your post still sucks (just didn't want anyone to think I was actually defending this guy). :biggrin:
