Ok, first of all thanks for the heads up on the post-credit scene lack, I was able hit the urinal first.

I will say I fully agree with the earlier comment that this wasn’t the best Marvel film, but it was the most Marvel film. I think the nuance and ambiguity of IW will never be topped, but this was certainly a grand finale, a Jedi to IWs Empire Strikes Back. I will put my last comment for now in spoiler tags, though it doesn’t talk specific plot:

I’m sure I’ll have a very minority view, but I thought the last 2-3 minutes were unnecessary and detracted from the impact of the main plot conclusion. They could have started new movies with any of those scenes and been just fine doing it.

saw it today

The dweeb sitting next to me was putting both hands to his face Macaulay-Culkin-home-alone style for nearly every new scene the entire movie. I think he is fairly representative of his age cohort and believes it's the ZOMG!Eleventy!! Greatest movie ever because he's been told to think that that by the magic rectangle he keeps his face buried in 24/7.

I personally enjoyed Ragnarok and Infinity War a lot more.

Not ugly, but I had a tear run down my cheek at least 4-5 distinct times. My daughter watch one of them, which didn't help.

I loved the movie, but the need to line up all the female characters to help CM at the end was a little over the top. Felt like a bit of a shoehorn like Thor's swim in Avengers 2.

We don't know how Marvel goes forward from here, but I don't see how they can ever come close to the Infinity Saga in future phases. Maybe that's the point. Marvel needs to sign the Russo's to a lifetime contract where they just jump from Marvel movie to Marvel movie because it feels like they truly get it. What they did with the 4 movies they directed was amazing. Winter Soldier will probably always be my favorite of the stand-alone movies not just because it was great, but also because pretty much the whole movie was filmed in and around Cleveland.

I have read that big screen and small screen will more directly overlap going forward, and there is also the Disney stream that will be competing with Netflix that I guarantee content will move to as well. So I imagine the MU will be scattered all over and mostly separate going forward, such that you can watch it all if you want or only follow certain characters if you prefer.

I agree with your spoiler too BTW, I though the exact same thing at the time

Walked out of theater and all 10 screens were running Endgame at half hour intervals. Every other movie was taken off the board.

There were two queue lines full, one for 10:00 and another for 10:30.

Never seen a scene quite like this. This is going to do damn near a billion worldwide in four days.

Are we allowed to talk in detail yet? I don't think there is anyone left to see the movie for the first time;-)

Just an FYI - there were 70 showings a day at a theater near me and many of them were sold out.
