I don’t disagree but as you said, at least it was the right decision. Getting canned was the only option. What is surprising is they fire Durkin because the backlash but these turtle jerkers couldn’t see that backlash coming from miles away before they made their decision?

Turtle Jerkers is a great name for a garage band. It's probably already taken.

Just to post what has apparently happened:

On Tuesday, the one day that Durkin was back at practice, the backup punter was beaten up by a couple of other players at the end of the practice. The backup punter was one of the 'whistleblowers' that spoke against Durkin, and the guys that beat him up were supporters of Durkin.

Durkin was fired on Wednesday after the backlash following his reinstatement, I don't think the altercation at the end of Tuesday's practice was a real factor in that decision.

Did this happen because if yes then that is unbelievable. This would never happen at MSU. Dantonio would murder someone. Teammate jumping another mate? That is unbelievable. What kind of madness is happening at that school and why the hell did the B10 let then into our league. They are only decent at BB.

Theyve arguably been better without him.
Sounds like a pissing contest power struggle to me.
That or Durkin has a lot of dirt on Under Armor

Brady, Chief of the Board is stepping down. Who’d have seen that coming? Brady couldn’t even see it coming when they made the decision to keep Durkin. It’s astounding.

When the backup punter (solely by taking a beating) brings down both the foosball coach and he Chair of your board, you truly know things have gone rotten in the state of Denmark.
