Maryland vs Ohio State, Thursday, Jan 11 @ 7 PM, ESPN2

Last week I said I’d be thrilled with a split of sparty and turtle. Never imagined we’d win both, let alone spank them. It’s time to get excited about Buckeye basketball again.
The way OSU has dominated the B1G lately has been so impressive. Every win but one has been by double digits. If you would have told me that in September this:
would have been my reaction.

In September line of thinking I think we would have been somewhat pleased with like a 2-3 start to conference play (since this team was viewed as a bottom of the pack B1G team)

Last year they only won 7 B1G games

This year they already have 5 wins......with 13 to play. Simply amazing turn around.

You mean Dakich heard @OSU_Buckguy :biggrin2:
i will certainly admit that i was -- to put it lightly -- not so optimistic about dakich's impact and importance. to be precise, i'm pretty sure i said that i didn't think that dakich was good enough to be the back-up at any high-major (and most mid-majors). yeah, his limitations are still obvious and i do worry about him guarding a speedy point guard, but dakich has absolutely provided needed stability behind jackson.

i was surprised to find out that dakich was 7/10 from three this season before the last game. though expecting anything close to .700 going forward would be a mistake, i do wonder just how reliable he is from deep when no one is around. i mean, if he can be a .400-shooter behind the arc when completely uncontested, that would be huge.
