Maui Invitational tourney is on our schedule !

We should be the favorites here. But the winner of this tourney is usually an underdog. We need to play composed and avoid being upset. Dayton and villinova may be the other two best teams.

Maui Invitational

I think its great that we are playing in a pre-conference tourney this year. However, I wish it was a holiday tourney around Xmas time or so. The reason is that we have 5 first year players on the team that most likely will contribute (Stockman, Sullinger, Billings Harris & N. Dials (although Stcokman & Sullinger practiced last year with the team)). With 5 first year players it may take some time for them "to jell". Playing a holiday tourney would have allowed us to play 8 to 10 games or so to begin to establish a rotation & let the team settle in. If this group can win this tourney out of the gate look out (I think they can) -- but I would not be overly concerned with a loss in this tourney. Its going to be a fun year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UD won't be a total push over.

That will be a test in Maui. Seton Hall will be better too. The schedule does look like one that's set up to go to the tourny. The Big Ten is strong enough that you don't have to play Duke every year to get an RPI that will get you in the tourny. It's not really fun for us, but neither was the NIT last year.
