McMullen Released by the Eagles

Krenzel will have won MNC but be awful pro Qb ?

Was that your point, Brutus1 ? No one can take away his ring that's for sure.

Qbs don't choose OSU because of Tressel's offense, glad you've got that figured out 3yacod. The kid from Florida only latched his name onto OSU because he wanted to be playing for a team with success. If he was serious about being developed into a NFL Qb, he'd have stayed in state at any of those 3 schools or even Central Florida which have equal or greater numbers playing in the NFL at the position. We aren't mentioned by the good passing Qbs. They head to the SEC or PAC 10 or Florida State, Miami, Michigan State, Illinois, Michigan, Purdue instead. Why is that ? Hell Krenzel wouldn't have started at about 5 schools in the state the past 2 years. But we don't have a problem do we ?

I really don't care how they do as pro's. I love college ball much more , so
i'm rather indifferent to their pro careers.

You've got to excuse my friend (louis) (i'm pointing to my head), he's a little slow. What part of 25-2 is a problem to you ? I'll say this slow, a t e a m
i s m o r e t h a n a g r e a t p a s s i n g
q b . Say that to yourself 10 times.

Louis = Riptide??? :tongue2:

I'll tell you what -- if Zwick doesn't develop as a QB with the weapons he has (including his HS WR) over the next three seasons, then I will grant you and Riptide and all of the other Tressel critics your point. Right now, however, the OSU QB pipeline looks pretty decent, and JT seems to be in on some good ones this year also.

Now, Tressel didn't make Bells the QB. The "offensive genius" Cooper did that, and Tressel just stuck with the most experienced guy. Tressel DID pick CK over McMullen, and lo and behold! CK led the team through some crazy damned games. The Purdue finish, and fourth down and forever in the waning minutes of regulation during the Fiesta bowl were two of the most dramatic plays in OSU history. Does Scotty Mac lead OSU to a title? Who knows. The guy Tressel picked got the job done when he had to.

To the shitbreathed dork who gave me the negative reputation "I do believe Tibor came up with the joke of messing up LouisGonzalez's name": Uh, no dumbass...I'm the one who came up with "JoseJiminez". If you can't think of any other reason for giving me negative reps other than not "meeting your standards" for name calling (as in the other negative rep you gave me, "KNUCKLEDRAGGINGCHIMP is just a dumb nickname. not up to your standards. try harder"), then go find another site. Moron.

what a retard. Waah, waah! If you keep giving me negative rep points, I won't be able to catch up to Bucknutty! chump.

I'm sure you are as worried as Tressel is about Mcmullen possibly having any or more professional success than Krenzel.
I'm not worried about it at all, and neither is Tressel. I hope they both have success, and I bet Tressel does, too.

Unlike some Buckeye fans, I/we don't root for some QBs and against others...we support whoever is under center.

Try it sometime...

Much like you supported Clarett, huh? :roll1:

Much like you supported Clarett, huh?

Mister Happiness strikes again. Let's see, if anyone doesn't hate every player on the team, than they automatically were in Clarett's corner and thus deserved to be slammed by "doctorb" Rashmish. By the way, dickhead, that "shitbreathed dork" post wasn't directed towards you...or was it?

Wells and Clarett had almost 2600 yards and 30 touchdowns between them

what should we do Louie if we have two elite 11 QB's and have been winning. remember a good ground game will do wonders for our passing game.

So how did our starting Qbs manage to throw about 25 touchdowns with 20 picks ? Where did our pass offense rank within the conference and nationally ? Lets face it: the only thing we had on offense was those two at tailback and without them we get offensive production like last year.

Buckeyehead: looks like you're a hypocrite. Next.

BrutusBobcat: Cooper's hand was forced by Bellisari and daddy, much like it was with Stan Jackson. Think about that. Cooper had started him out at safety but #8 insisted upon playing Qb or else he'd leave. Tressel was dealt a hand in the form of nearly 30 NFL picks, too. But it was HIS decision to stick with Bellisari, knowing full well he could justify with "I'm in charge now" but he didn't did he ? Krenzel did indeed do the job and no one can take that away from him. But I'd place him behind a lot of players in that happening. He doesn't beat Michigan in 2001 without Wells; he doesn't do jackshit in 2002 without Clarett; and he doesn't do anything without that superb defenses and punting of the last 2 seasons either. He was sitting on the wagon, not one of the clydesdales pulling it imo.

OSU doesn't beat Michigan or anyone of their caliber if we don't have a running game to set up the pass. We need to get back to the ground game and grind things down. If we can put 130-150 yards on the ground with any back, including the QB then we will be able to throw the ball.

I agree with you on Krensel's arm strength, accuracy and other things but we had MoC to run and then threw when we had to. Under Coop. we lost Moeherman, Preistly and others to transfer. We didn't exactly have a stable of QB's to compete. Coop played who he thought was best and that is where it stood....it ultimately contributed to his firing.

Scottie Mac was the gunslinger and did well when he was in but he was a joker and lacked the leadership and seriousness that Tress. wanted. Whehter he was better can be arrgued all day. Tress. made the decision and the result was 25-2.

We have three capable arms now with three to four years of elgibility. We need to reserve this argument until the QB's fail for succeed after a few games.
