Miami Dolphins (Official Thread)

, or make passive-agressive threats on social media that you have no intention of ever following through on but get you the attention you so desperately crave.
In the wake of the recent school shootings where the shooter had publicly posted/commented about wanting to be a "professional school shooter", you can't take these sort of social media comments lightly. If he wanted attention, the cops will sure give him some.

Law enforcement should respond and did. Didn't feel it was necessary to address that.
In the case of Martin, feel we can safely say he's attention seeking here. How long ago did this shit go down? What is he, the pereptual victim? Guy needs to move on.

Jonathan Martin reportedly in mental health facility; police say no threat to L.A. schools

The ex-Dolphins offensive lineman was detained over a threatening social media post

Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, who was at the center of a bullying scandal in 2013, was detained Friday after sharing an Instagram story featuring a shotgun and ammunition that included the caption, "When you're a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge." According to a report, Martin has now been moved to a mental health facility.

Martin tagged former teammates Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey (two of the teammates accused of bullying him), as well as the Miami Dolphins and Harvard-Westlake High School (the school Martin attended) in the threatening post. The school was shut down and evacuated in the wake of the threat.

"Last evening, we learned of an Internet post that mentions Harvard-Westlake by name," Harvard-Westlake said in a statement. "Out of an abundance of caution, and because the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority, we made the decision to close school today. We are working closely with law enforcement and will share more information when we are able."

If you're referring to the Parkland incident, law enforcement did not take earlier threats seriously enough to preempt the attack. It has now being learned that four sheriff deputies actually cowered behind their vehicles while the shooter continued his rampage...so law enforcement did shit. My point was that comments like Martin made on social media will now be treated with far more scrutiny and seriousness. As for his "seeking attention", maybe he is, maybe he isn't but rather has let this fester for so long that it's not coming to the surface. I'm not defending him at all, and in fact think that he should get mental help, because he's now apparently either considering offing himself or others.

Beer vendor arrested after charging fan $724 for two beers at Miami Dolphins game

Watching the 2019 Dolphins is bad enough already

Paying money to see the 2019 Miami Dolphins play football is already a giant rip-off, but one fan was scammed beyond belief during Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.
That checked his bank account after buying two beers at the game and discovered he had been charged a whopping total of $724.
The beer vendor swiped the fan's credit card using a personal card reader, not the device that Hard Rock Stadium provides to vendors, according to a police report obtained by The Miami Herald.
Soon after the transaction was processed, the fan was alerted to the exorbitant charge, which came attached with the vendor's name.
That vendor, 33-year-old Nathaniel Collier, worked for Rocket Man -- a subcontracting company that places vendors at sporting events and concerts -- and was not an employee of the Dolphins or Hard Rock Stadium. After the fleeced fan alerted authorities, Collier was promptly arrested by police and fired by Rocket Man. Safe to say it wasn't exactly the crime of the century.
Collier, who had been an employee of Rocket Man for over a year, now faces charges of grand theft and using a skimming device.
As for the fan, they received a full refund for the purchase -- meaning they ultimately got two stadium beers for free, which isn't the worst deal in the world! However, you're probably going to need a lot more than two free beers to sit through a Dolphins game this year.

Apparently the fan had some type of bank notification set up on his card, etc.
