Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

Golden actually had good hires that knew the area. Between Kehoe, Coley, Beard and Harris, they're all very well known in the South Florida area! Ice Harris is a legend, winning back to back state titles at Booker T Washington in 2013 and 2012, the 2013 team was ranked #1 in the nation. Idk what else Miami could do. Unless they seriously open the check books on an NFL coach or a very big name, but what big name would want to take a few years of their career to rebuild Miami?

Right, I guess my point was misunderstood. Point being that Golden didnt really have to sell Bruce, and whoever comes in, will have South Florida ties, so it will still have some sort of "Da U"/305 feel. Just saying I think its the brand more than the man. With or without Beard, they'll have someone that connects well with South Florida prospects.

Yeah, agreed. The next guy im sure will be a "U" kind of guy, as I've heard the president and AD are allowing input from former players. Wouldn't be surprised if its a scUM south alum just like scUM north hired, and he becomes their "savior".

Kinda silly I think... ex players should have zero say who comes in as head coach. What would Ed Reed know about coaching? I mean more than I do but if you allow ex players to dictate who you hire you're just going to get someone who the ex players like. Go based off of results and leave personal opinions out of it.

Am evisioning all of the outspoken former players getting coaching gigs in some regard with the team. Also seeing them completely mess things up, which suits us all because then nobody will have anything to complain about when they fail.

ok seriously, with all this 'Cane family tree, get a guy who understands what da U is all about bull[Mark May]...two words. Randy Shannon.

How much more da U cred can a guy have than Randy Shannon?
Just let them rehire Butch Davis, and he'll see first hand how recruiting has changed since he was last at the U. He'll literally be treated like Hairball at scUM north, and if he were to play FSU as tough as Hairball did against Mich St., (and heaven forbid win), they would erect a statue the following Sunday.

Considering Shannon was probably the guy who got rid of the hookers in the AM you don't get more Duh u then him and look how it worked out for him. FACE planted.

Da u attitude is over. They will never be elite again and like I mean ever. They will never fill their stadium of 60k to more than 20k and the times of getting away with the truly unbelievable behavior they exhibited from the 80s through the early millennium are never going to happen ever again. Amazing that a school takes pride in showing no class with strong emphasis on poor life decisions.

They will always be 3rd to Florida and FSU in state from here on out so the days of dominating Florida recruiting wise just won't happen like they use to. Especially with our Flag planted at STA and IMG.
