Ranking the state of Florida's head coaches as recruiters
Diaz made some big splashes early through the transfer portal, adding high-profile players like Jaelan Phillips and D’Eriq King. But the Hurricanes started to flex their muscles in the high school ranks last cycle following a strong 2020 season, adding a pair of local five-stars: Leonard Taylor and James Williams. Earning signatures from Taylor and Williams signals the first occasion since 2014 that the Hurricanes signed two of the top 10 players from Florida and the first time since 2012 it inked two of the top 5.
That success on the trail helped Diaz earn four out of seven possible first-place votes. He ranked no worse than second on any single ballot. Miami’s 2021 class ranking of 12th is the program’s second-best effort since 2013.

Actually since Southern Florida is a treasure trove of 4 - 5 star football recruits, I actually think Manny has a chance.

Dan Lambert plans $500-a-month endorsement deal for every Miami Hurricanes football player on scholarship
The owner of a Florida-based chain of mixed martial arts gyms unveiled big plans Tuesday to try to help Miami Hurricanes football players take advantage of new rules that allow them to make money.
Dan Lambert, the owner of American Top Team and a longtime Miami football fan, has offered each scholarship player on the Miami football team a monthly payment of $500 this year to advertise his gyms on social media. American Top Team is the home training facility for more than two dozen professional fighters, including Jorge Masvidal and Amanda Nunes.
Lambert's offer to the Hurricanes -- which could add up to as much as $540,000 this year -- is the largest reported sum for a college sports endorsement deal since new state laws and NCAA rules opened the doors for players to make money last week.
"I want to help the kids. I want to reward them for what they do, and I want a better product on the field, too," Lambert told ESPN on Tuesday. "I want to improve the reputation of the school and the team I love so much. I think it's a cool opportunity to get involved and make a difference."
Lambert said the offer is the largest marketing effort his MMA business ever has made. He says he's not sure he'll continue to offer the same deal to Miami players in future years, but he already has bigger plans in the works to create a consistent way to provide some money to every player on the Hurricanes' roster.
Lambert has also started a corporation, called Bring Back The U, that will be solely focused on putting money in the pockets of Miami football players. He said the company will attempt to rally support from local businesses to hire the players as spokesmen. He says he also plans to host fundraising events and then donate the proceeds to any local business that agrees to use the donation to pay for Miami players as spokesmen.
Lambert said he has had multiple conversations with the school's compliance department to tell them about his plans. He also has hired attorney Darren Heitner to make sure what he was doing didn't violate new state laws.

This kind of thing was already here. This just moves the fund above the table.
And ends the gravy train of stealing amateur likenesses, selling them for billions, all while avoiding paying taxes.
It might kill the house of cards, but it was a blatant exploitation on all levels. Many benefited from it too, but none at their market rate. Some without a market had a bump. Those with a market received next to nothing.
JT Barrett and Braxton Miller are absolute legends. Their earning power is lousy after school, let alone someone like Steve Miller or Tyvis Powell, who were quality players with no market after school.
Imagine how much Tyvis could have made monetizing his silly parenting of Cardale.

Whoppi Shit....It's only because of Alabama, the other 3 are Appalachian State, Sparty, and CCSU. If you count ND as a non conference game; at least Georgia Tech and Free Shoes play 2 ranked teams, etc.

Auburn being on this list is a joke. They play Ped State, who was not good last year. Their other 3 games are Akron, Alabama State & Georgia State
who comes up with this crap.

I agree it's a total joke. Think about it; technically, the team with the toughest non conference schedule is Notre Dame......

They dont count because every game is a OOC game.
Cincinnati plays Indiana and Notre Dame. That's "tougher" than the grand majority of this top 10

The ACC Coastal Division should be against UNC and Miami. A QB can get hot and theoretically put the team on his shoulders and carry them to victory. If the Canes make it to the ACC CCG, I just hope if King is capable of doing this and he does it against Clemson.
