Miami Heat (3x NBA Champions)

With their talent plus the Cleveland Curse, this team should roll to the title; and the only people who will still hate LeQuit will be from Ohio.

Of course, I could reverse that curse by putting a cool $500 on the Heat to win the title - which would create an immovable object/irresistable force kind of situation.

I'm a Lebron fan. I've already said the way he handled everything was stupid and immature, but it happened months ago and now i'm just watching basketball. What's done is done.

In todays day of free agency, I have no loyalty to any specific team. I've always been a Wade and a Bron fan, so now i'm following the Heat.

I'm pretty sure this is the Heat thread, so who's trolling now?

No one is doing anything to intentionally get a rise out of you. For months, you've been trolling the Quitness thread without so much of a mention that you are a Lebron/Wade/Heat fan. Now, all of a sudden, when the trolling discussion on his thread turns on whether someone is or is not a Heat fan, you declare yourself as such. Pardon me if I call the timing suspicious.

Even if you are genuine, no one knew that and fairly assumed you were stilling trying to piss off Cavs fans. I still think you're trying to do that, but I'll let it go in this thread.

That doesn't mean I'm not still actively cheering against the Heat and hoping for Lebron's demise. I will simply choose to do so in his designated thread.

i never trolled that thread. It was about Lebron, I was there talking about Lebron. Cavs fans were going to be pissed off regardless. I never defended how he did it, only that it was his right to do whatever he wanted. That stance in itself pisses cavs fans off, and that's their right.

Also, you can see in that other thread where I asked if there was a specific "Heat" thread that I could post in. Why would I want to go to that thread and talk about Lebron and the Heat when everything positive I would have to say would be met with calls of "Lebitch" and "Lequit."

it is what it is. I hate the Lakers and everything they and Kobe bitch stand for, so I sure as hell ain't rooting for them.

offensive onslaught tonight. Only 1 turnover for Bron. Team seems to be gelling quick.

I know I'm over-analysizing, but I just get this feeling at some point in the season, LeBron is going to butt-heads internally with Wade. It won't be public, maybe people speculate, but midway through the year when D-Wade is averaging 26 and LeBron is averaging 20, it will be interesting to see how LeBron responds. I just can't see him enjoying D-wade getting MVP talk while he continues to play role-player.

And I'm not even saying he is just a "role-player". But everyone knows the guy with higher PPG and more aggressive towards the hoop gets the recognition. The Heat are better with LeBron conceding that D-wade should be primary scorer. I think he realizes that now, but how much will he enjoy it when D-wade gets too much recognition and LeBron is the far superior player?

By the way, not sure if you watched the game, but LeBron looked absolutely miserable in the first quarter. It was actually awkward. It'd be unfair to not mention he was laughing it up in the fourth, but in the first quarter when he didn't score a bucket, and Miami had their highest scoring quarter this year, he looked joyless and uninterested. Wade was busy putting up 12 or 14 in that quarter.

he's looked that way a lot in the first four games. The joyless and uninterested part.

I couldn't find the game so no I didn't see it, but saw that Wade went off in the 1st.

lot of egos there, it'll be interesting to see if there is some head butting at some point.

Beating teams the likes of Minnesota has never been LBJ's problem (61 wins last year, 66 year before that). Unfortunately for him, that's not the type of team he'll be meeting in the playoffs.

He absolutely was. Where the hell has that Beasley been?? He looked like a different guy than I remember. That isn't a slam on LeBron, Beasley was just having a hell of a quarter. But Beasley looked almost as athletic as LeBron and his handle was very good. I remeber him being more of a PF and less of a SF. Minnesota was letting him handle the ball quite a bit and his defense on LeBron looked really solid.

But back to LeBron for a second...this whole thing has a very flat feel to it. I know it's early but these games just have zero electricity to them. Miami's arena is half full, LeBron hasn't been exciting and isn't attacking, Bosh has become a 10-16 point scorer.

Don't get me wrong, they're making it look easy, but all of the excitement is taken out of their games. If I'm a casual basketball fan, do i want a super-team where LeBron facilitates and tries to get D-Wade off, or do I want to watch a LeBron that is scoring 30 and attacking the rim. I think it's a pretty valid point...the Heat games have largely been non-entertaining. Not even close to entertaining actually. It's boring. I've watched a majority of their minutes so I don't expect people to have that seem opinion if you haven't seen them play. I think what I'm stating here could get legs nationally pretty soon though. It's going to get irritating to watch the best basketball player in the world settle for 18 a game on open jump-shots when the world is used to seeing him throw down monster dunks and start 1 on 3 fastbreak opportunities.

They're a good story, but the product for the customer actually sucks right now. Maybe LA brings more out of these guys individually, but so far its been a thud.

I did have a chuckle when LeBron sent a blocked shot 3 rows deep behind the hoop, and after the front row the seats were largely unattended. And it was middle of the third quarter. Such a joke of a fanbase. Maybe part of the lack of excitement is that their arena is so dead and quiet....
