Edit2: Also, there were only 20 episodes. I thought there were 50. Here's a list of how many players from each team won:
Illinois 2
Indiana 3
Iowa 1
Michigan 2
Michigan State 1
Minnesota 1
Northwestern 1
Ohio State 4
Penn State 1
Purdue 2
Wisconsin 2
Note that all teams who were in the Big Ten at the time got at least one player on the list.

Sorry, was catching up on this thread and got sidetracked by the discussion re: the BTN list of the 50 greatest Big Ten athletes. Forgot this thread was about Mr. Oh for the last game in November Hart. Mods please feel free to move it to the BTN top 50 thread.

My problem with that list - aside from the slighting of Owen's accomplishment at the Big Ten track meet - was the inclusion of Minnesota's thug, David Winfield. Bronko Nagurski should have been their entry.

Another note; Owen's Olympic long jump record 26' 8" lasted until Bob Beamon's jump in Mexico City in 1968 - 32 years. His world record (also his Olympic best) held for 25 years until 1960 when Ralph Boston jumped 26' 11.25".

  • On May 25, 1935, at the Big Ten Conference Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Owens broke three world records (long jump, 220-yard dash and 220-yard low hurdles) and tied a fourth (100-yard dash), all in a 45 minute span

so i feel like the 45 minute bit should be underlined. and in bold. and in all caps. and probably a different color to make it stand out more. but just because i kind of feel like i didn't quite accomplish that much in the last 45 minutes.

but back on topic, has anyone seen any of bikey's standup? i noticed it listed on comedy central a few months back but didn't have time to check it out. is he any good?
