Michigan Chatter - 2004

I'm one of the most unusual OSU fans you'll meet. I was raised in PA (right near Maryland but still in PA, far from PSU and Pitt) where I became a buckeye fan, moved to SW M*ch*g*n and lived in MSU country (parents are also MSU fans/grads), and now am in Indiana with an interesting blend of OSU/UM fans.

My question is, do people HATE m*ch*g*n state? I understand the obvious animosity since they are from michigan, but there is a big difference between them and UM. Izzo runs a classy program, and has always been one of O'Brien's biggest supporters (regardless of recent events, we all appreciated that back in the day). With a few exceptions, they had their way with us in basketball yet handled it with a lot more class than UM ever did in basketball or football when they were the better program.

I also live in spartan country and am biased because of my MSU parents. When I watch OSU-MSU games, I do not see a lot of hatred on the field. In fact, I think we both share a common bond in hating UM, which is why you see a lot of players helping the other team up in OSU-MSU games.

Personally, I love the west coast of michigan and love vacationing up north, but I can't stand central and eastern MI. The west coast of MI are all MSU fans mostly, and the area is really pretty, whereas central and eastern MI is really boring and becomes increasingly ugly as you venture eastward.

I live and breathe OSU football, yet have never found myself hating MSU. I would say Miami, Wisconsin, Notre Dame are much more hated than MSU from what I've seen from OSU fans.

Just wanted your thoughts on this. I have never lived in a single area with many OSU fans around me, so coming to OSU games is such a blessing.

remember the 98 game against MSU? That should answer your question.
I do remember the 98 game. It was the first OSU football game I had ever been to. It was heartbreaking, but did it guarantee hatred of MSU for the next decade? Or did it force us to take them more seriously, allowing us to beat somewhat capable spoiler teams in recent years?

do we hate mishitgan jr?

im going with a definite yes. but unlike mishitgan, the mishitgan jr. hate is more of a care free hate because they rrreeeeeeeeeeaaally suck.

think of mishitgan jr. as an appetizer. a good schlacking of jr curbs the hunger a little but it simply doesn't satisfy.

Here is some info about kegs & eggs at Four Kegs:

Four Kegs is an oasis for those seeking cute chicks and cheap drinks

When to Go: It's hard to decide the best night for partying at Four Kegs, since there's rarely an off night. But the Saturday morning when Ohio State plays Big 10 rival Michigan is an annual party you can't miss. Rise and shine with kegs and eggs at dawn, watch the game on one of the bar's big-screen TVs and, if you're still standing, dance to the sounds of the Internet jukebox, which has enough songs to outlast the most tenacious tailgater.

My daughters and I went out last night and bought a Meshitagain welcome mat and some scarlet paint. We then painted a large X across the m while teaching my two year old the words (well, some, most, of them) to We don't give a damn for the whole state of, well, you know. Only then did we go to sit with Santa for pictures. Sadly, they would not allow the girls to hold the defaced mat in the picture. Never fear, we'll find a better Santa.

make predictions....Scum vs tOSU

First off let me say that this is all in fun. I love trying to guess stats and last year (i was a scum fan- i have repented now!) I told my buddy that Perry would have between 250-260 rushing and I was right, he had I believe 254.

So I am going to try and predict again!!!

Here I go!

I say Ginn has 140 recieving 2 tds
Holmes with 90 recieving 1 td

and Fox with a pick

and Hawk with a TD

final score:::::

tOSU 38
scum 17
