Oy....nothing is ever easy for these guys.

Sparty absolutely imploded in the 9th. I dunno if it’s the pressure of these games but we’ve been the beneficiary of quite a few implosions in league play. A lot not like in that one but a win is a win and I’ll take it.

Season high in hits for Sparty and those 8 runs they scored were the most for them in nearly 20 games. Our pitchers were up in the zone with just about everything today.

Bo Coolen was huge today and it sounds like Noah McGowan is dinged up. Kinda suspected that but wasn’t sure. He rolled his ankle and it seems to be slowing him down a bit.

Say what you want about Beals but he always seems to maintains good body language no matter what’s goin on. Watching Jake Boss today made me glad Beals is in our dugout for a change. :-)

They’re just not playing very well. The pitching lately is just...woof.
No fight at all at the plate..we made it easy on Sparty’s starter. He pitched 7 innings throwing only 79 pitches.
Beals post game comments were silly....Talked about playing for Buckeye Brotherhood or something.

Unless something crazy happens, looks like our bracket will be

7 Ohio St vs 2 Purdue
6 Iowa vs 3 Michigan

Hard to believe we managed to fall to a 7 seed. Entering the weekend, we had a shot to be the 3 seed.
RPI is currently 42. Still in as an at large. All that’s changed after this craptastic week is we’re a 3 seed now instead of a 2. Two and que in the tourney and we’re squarely on the bubble. Yay
