Michigan State Spartans (official thread)

Just wait until Brett McMurphy get's a hold of Terrence Samuel's wife. I'm sure a six week shit storm will ensue.

I see they are already predicting it. You see (below) the shit storm frontal line goes right through East Lansing:

No way can we let the little brother from East Lansing be forgotten about today. A top 15 team, goes out west and loses to perennial bottom dweller ASU and the fighting Herm Edwards'!?! WTF! Sparty held to 63yds rushing! Idc if it was 100 degrees at game time, that OL should've been able to maul the ASU defense, if they continue to be this suspect, then this will be yet another victim for Bosa, Young and Co.

They haven't been a run first team in going on 3 years now at at least. They suffer from the same ailment as the other team in that state up north....dogshit for an OL.

People shouldn't put them in the same bucket as Wisconsin just because the formations look the same.

Mostly though, I don't give a damn for the WHOLE state....fuck Sparty too.

I hear you, but I mean damn, you don't need to be a run first team to at least get 100 freaking yards on the ground, against an unranked team. But like you said, the OL is dogshit.

And I think that by default I'm one of those people who dumped MSU with Wisky based on formations, and boy was I wrong! I'm enjoying watching both of TTUN struggle, wamrs my heart

He's dead on about evolution on so many levels.
I'd say it even explains our experience with Brax and JTB... the read option was unbeatable, but we stopped evolving it and became stagnant. We were able to will and talent ourselves to most victories, but some opponents figured it out bit by bit while we kept doing the same exact thing.

Lets see if this worked.

This is why MSU lost. The Oline was dominated often. And on multiple short yardage plays they were destroyed. Literally not sure how team will beat any good defense unless someone steps up.

My first thought when seeing that is that center has to be a freshman who just isn't ready and must've been on the field due to injury or something. However, upon further review and according to their roster, #70 is Tyler Higby - a 6'5 285 Junior OL who has played in 22 career games and has 13 starts. The DT anticipated the snap count better than the center did.......

Which is why I think Kevin Wilson/Ryan Day were brought in.

Yeah, last year still saw a heavy reliance on the qb run, but i think that's more to do with JTB's abilities. His arm wasn't a great fit for the O Wilson prefers. Haskins is tailor-made for a pass-heavy spread similar to what Wilson ran and decimated people with at OU.

That's embarressing... I've never seen that in major college football. If we can get through september undefeated we are WALKING into the scum game undefeated.

MSU poses absolutely no threat in my eyes
