Michigan State Spartans (official thread)

He seems to have checked out imo.
The idea he's not there next year has more to do with skeletons in the closet. Does he quit before deposition? Does deposition force a for cause firing?
Does he weather the storm and admin forces Asst changes?

Freeman almost certainly goes with Fickell.
Is pitt ready to fire Narduzzi? Would he want to coach under Fickell at MSU again ? Dont see that working out.
Yep, I think the whole deposition thing and what that may dig up just exasperates the underperformance on field. One without the other is probably tolerable, both together...well, I'd be shocked if he's on the sidelines next year, regardless of what's being said.

The main issue I see right now is that all the top dog recruiters are gone or lost their fire.
This program has zero energy around it. I plan on being at the Maryland game with about 20,000 of my closest friends......LOL

I literally expect a crowd of under 40K. Which says tons about MSU fans but also the program. Can you imagine a day when the Shoe is half full just because the team sucks? Maybe I guess but I just don't see that fan base not showing up. And additionally you would be going to see the new coach or the interim coach or the last game for current coach......you get my drift. That shit would not be taken laying down at OSU. Changes would be coming and that alone would be reason enough to go see what is happening.

But at MSU they are just thankful CMD stayed when he was hot and could have left.

Listen I can't muster up much anger at CMD but thigs are not good and I just highly doubt he has the fire needed to put it all back together. I could be worng as he has one nasty game day face and the intensity of 1000 suns. So we will see what happens. But right now it look broken and every position group looks in complete disarray.

We were in a similar situation with Thad Matta three years ago. Anybody with any sense couldn’t be mad at him because of what he meant to and did for the program; but most were ready to move on. Once you get swallowed up by so much negative momentum, it’s hard to claw your way back out.

Exactly NFBuck. He is in a vortex of negativity. It is not looking real good on any front. He does have a pretty clean slate off the field of late but that is not really that important to a fan base when a team starts losing too much. Suddenly player behavior is not as high on the list of concerns.......LOL
