Did you buy a new one or get the free "repair"? I just got the repair done after the RROD and still will freeze during the games every now and then (not too often).

The best thing about the 360 (outside of the large library of games) is XBox Live. It is superior to PS3s online in every way.

I bought a new one. I still have the old one, and recently decided that I am going to try and put my old one back together and get it fixed by MS. I opened it up because I thought it was a quick fix, but I never broke the seal as the glue on it had dried, so I think I'm going to add a dab of glue and ship it to them.

that is a good deal. fyi, they have HDMI on the new 360s and 60 gb ones, just in case you wanted to return it. But the color is fun too.

Yeah, I was looking at those. Apparently you can't use the data transfer cord to transfer from the 20gb-60gb. I would think that it would work without an issue, but on the free cord order form it asks for the Elite serial #.

ah that's true, I borrowed a 512 memory card, but I only had game saves on there.

I know that I've used a 12+1 month to renew an older gamertag account. But I can't remember if it was linked to my credit card or not. I guess you could call xbox and see what they have to say about it. Although the odds of getting a helpful rep is slim to none.
