I voted LBJ but just b/c I am a homer.

My sleeper pick would be Brand, he is having a phenomal year and nobody knows.

I refuse to give Kobe any props especially after having to see his stupid ass commercial about how no one likes him.

Honestly right now all these guys are having great years and it is hard to pick just one which is why I went with LBJ.

I agree completely. I made sure I put Brand on there, because he does not get enough attention. I put Kobe on there only because everyone that watches 30 seconds of Sportscenter a week knows that he is the greatest player to ever think about playing basketball.

Oddly enough, James hasnt gotten that much MVP talk really.

I voted for Steve Nash, a guy I ironically argued shouldn't have won last year. When Stoudamire went out, people were saying that Nash could probably still keep them in the playoff hunt. Well, he's positioned them nicely, along with Shawn Marion, to be a title contender when Amare returns.

But it's a tough call this year. Lebron deserves some consideration, as well as Kobe, for their one-man routines.

Chauncey is the most clutch player on the best team, but that starting 5 is all very good. And I'm not certain he's the best player on that team some days (see 'Sheed/Rip).

Duncan, I believe, isn't even playing the best ball on his own team right now. That honor goes to Tony Parker.

Nowitzki is the best player on the Mavs, but their rise from just being an offensive novelty has to be credited to Avery Johnson as a coach and the role players who make up for Dirk's weakness on defense.

Wade's an intriguing choice, but I can't honestly put him above LBJ right now, because he has Shaq and the Heat are still only 1 1/2 ahead of the Cavs.

Brand gets my second-place vote. He's putting up huge numbers in points and rebounds, and is the only real marquee name on that team. He sets things up for the perimeter players. And let's face - he has the freaking LA Clippers 11 games over .500. That alone should get you the key to the city. (if someone really wanted it)
