    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team begins a four-game road swing with a midweek contest at Miami (Ohio) at 5 p.m. Wednesday at McKie Field at Hayden Park in Oxford, Ohio. The Buckeyes (24-20) return to the diamond after winning a home series finale over Iowa last Sunday. The RedHawks (31-12) travel to play Xavier Tuesday before hosting the Buckeyes at home on Wednesday night.

    • Ohio State is 6-4 in its last 10 games. The Buckeyes fell in the first two games in a series vs. Iowa at home last weekend before winning the final contest by a 5-1 score. Griffan Smith received the win in six innings of work with six strikeouts, while Andrew Magno claimed a three-inning save. Brent Todys led the Buckeyes at the plate with a .417 average (5-for-12) with three doubles and four RBI.
    • Wednesday will be the 47th meeting between Ohio State and Miami (Ohio). The Buckeyes lead the all-time series, 30-15-1. The Buckeyes defeated the RedHawks, 20-7, in the last meeting in the 2015 campaign. Ronnie Dawson drove in eight RBI and scored five times with a grand slam in the road win in Oxford.

OXFORD, Ohio – The Wednesday baseball game at Miami (Ohio) has been canceled due to persistent lightning in the Oxford area. The game will not be made up.
