Texas or USC (the real USC), yes. That would be a step up in terms of ability to get to an NC.
South Carolina is at best a lateral move and an invitation to start all over again to make the team competitive in their conference. It would take a bundle of money - that I don't believe the school has - to entice him to take that on.

We are talking SEC!. Have no doubt that they'll shut off the heat in the dorms and dismantle the chemistry labs and sell them on ebay if they think that's what it'll take to make the foosball better.

Not sure that is true anymore. Win the B1G and you are almost guaranteed to be in the College Football Playoffs. Potentially recruiting may be a little easier in California and Texas with the number of D1-A prospects in those states; however, Dantonio has proven that he can recruit very well at Sparty.
