Get off my lawn, you hooligans!
OK, folks. I need some help.

I'm going to be spending the next week at a conference in milwaukee. Anybody know of anything I should do/see while I'm there. I need a good excuse to duck out and be lazy :)

I thank you in advance :)

I have an uncle that lives about 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee whom my family would visit every summer when I was a kid. The only two things I remember enjoying in the city was the Miller Brewing Co. tour (not as great as the Budweiser tour in St. Louis, but still a good one) and the Milwaukee Public Museum--it had some great exhibits on indigenous cultures and natural history (at least it did 15 years ago, when I last visited it).

There are a couple of awesome (although kind of pricey) golf courses about an hour north in a little town called Kohler. Whistling Straits, where the US Open was just held, and Black Wolf Run.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, Milwaukee seems to be irrevocably sucky. I hit the miller and Harley tours (both blew). Caught a Brewers game (Reds kicked their asses :)). Ate some good sausage and beer. sat through WAY too many hours of talks on geeky type stuff. Got grilled by some geriatric Brit on shades of meaning on the way I phrased something in my presentation. all in all, it's good to be back in MI (which should tell you just how much the trip sucked :))
