Ohio State vs. Minnesota: Kickoff Time, Tickets, TV, Streaming, Weather

Tickets

The combination of a noon kickoff, pleasant weather, and inexpensive tickets means that if you’ve been thinking about taking your kids to a game, this is a good choice.

The “get in the door” price is currently $58 on the official Ticket Exchange, but those prices should continue to fall as kickoff gets closer.

As of Wednesday evening, you can get seats on the 50 for a little under $175.

Tickets should be reasonable and plentiful if you’re still in the market for some. However, you might not want to go the old-fashioned route and scalp a seat outside the Horseshoe.

OSU has said that they have seen a big increase in fakes, especially with “print at home” tickets.

If you’re willing to risk buying from a scalper (pictured below) or a fan with extra tickets outside the stadium, look for someone with traditional-style tickets, not print-at-homes.

Reading up on stats, and Minnesota is ranked 111th in total offense (99th pass, 95th rush) and 21st in total defense, although I'd be surprised if that is anywhere near the truth after seeing them get rolled up by Maryland and Iowa. But they did hold a good Fresno St. team to 14.

After Urban's call this week talking about passing more to open up the run, I could see OSU coming out with a pass heavy set of scripted plays and then transition to grinding out the run game in the 2nd Q and half if they can build a good lead. Only reason I mention that is because it seemed like OSU was trying to force the run game early in the 1st and 2nd halves last week when it was clear they weren't having enough success to justify it.

Defense will probably still give up a few big plays, but I think they will take advantage of the personnel issues Minny has on that side of the ball and get 5+ sacks and 3-4 TOs. Maybe another fat guy TD???

Someone told me Minnesota came here to play football. Go back to ice fishing, you’re drunk.
It'll be down hill quick... they are not a good match with us.

Young offense (so negates our struggling defense) and a defense that lost its best player which since it happened gave up a lot of points to Maryland/Iowa.

Side note.. got in town today! Weather in Columbus is amazing, went to the german village which was the coolest, went to Schmidt's sausage haus, walked around the stadium and through buckeye grove, got all the alcohol and supplies for tomorrow, and gave out a ton of go bucks!

What's so amazing to me though is just how much this city loves Ohio State. It's everywhere here and in Minnesota they couldnt give a shit less for their football team. Shoot I passed a party at the hotel where it was just 10+ older women all decked out in buckeye gear. So it's just not the men here its literally everyone. That's why this school and program are one of a kind!

Early morning planned! Enjoy the game and Go Bucks!
