Mixed Martial Arts (Official Thread)

Totally missed it, but this is awesome.
I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed. I will never apologize for taking a shot. Shit happens. I'll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it. I will not change who I am. If another champion goes up 2 weights let me know. If your tired of me talking money, take a nap. I'll still be here when you wake up with the highest PPV and the gate. Still talking multi 7's. Thank you to the true support and fuck the hate that came out of the woodwork. I love it all. Its still steak for breakfast. I've been here many times in my life in some form or another. I'll eat it all and come back stronger. Aldo you are a pussy. Dos anjos you are a pussy. When the history books are written, I showed up. You showed up on Twitter. To the fans! Never ever shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on. Nate I will see you again.

Streamhunter.tv has been working great for me (for any sport). Not nearly as many popups as firstrow & hasn't downloaded anything automatically.

Pretty solid main card last night (I didn't catch the undercard). Mighty Mouse is ridiculous and makes it look easy. About what I expected from Jones...extended layoff, you could tell he was tentative...expect him to be much better against Cormier and tonight was likely a blessing, being able to knock off the rust. If Dana refuses to put Conor back on the 200 card, they were likely saved with Jones getting the win and not getting busted up doing so. He should be good to go by then and I assume DC will be as well. Here's hoping everyone pulls their heads out of their asses and we get both fights at 200.

Really looking forward to 198 & 199 as well. Both cards are pretty stacked.

“It’s not true. We haven’t talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don’t know why he would tweet that.”“All the media keeps asking me that. I feel like the scene in ‘Step Brothers’ when they ask if they can build bunk beds. I don’t know how many more times I can say the fight is off or how many more press conferences I can have saying the fight is off for people to believe it is off.” - Dana White

Sources: UFC owners in advanced talks to sell business

The owners of the UFC are in advanced talks to sell the business, sources told ESPN.com.

At least four bidders are believed to have submitted bids for the organization, including WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group and Dalian Wanda Group. The winning bid, should things proceed, is expected to be for a valuation between $3.5 billion and $4 billion, multiple sources with knowledge of the negotiations told ESPN.com.

UFC President Dana White said reports of the promotion being on the market are not true, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal that "the UFC is not for sale."

"As a private company, we don't discuss speculation or rumors related to our business," said Dave Sholler, vice president of public relations and athlete marketing for the UFC.

Anderson Silva off UFC 198 card due to medical complication

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been pulled from a scheduled bout against Uriah Hall at UFC 198 this weekend because of a medical complication.

UFC officials confirmed the news Tuesday, following an initial report by Yahoo! Sports. UFC president Dana White told Yahoo! Sports that Silva, 41, was experiencing abdominal pain this week and might require immediate surgery on his gallbladder.

Stacked card this weekend. I'm sure @y0yoyoin is pumped for his boy Stipe.

Yes sir! Excellent card like you mentioned...very nervous for Stipe...no idea what his game plan is going to be...I am assuming he will not want to take it to the ground and try to out punch Werdum...I just hope he doesn't get gassed or dazed at some point and gets caught with a hook to the dome...just hoping for a good fight and most importantly a win
