i used to have it on while i did my high shool work. then when i got to college my buddies were all football psychos so we watched any football we could despite the quality of team/announcer/picture......

now i dont know what ill do if theres a monday night game not including the raiders.
  4. I don't know about some of you....

but I love watching Monday Night Football! It's great to watch football three days out of the week. It's tradition now! All they need to do is add some flair to the pre and post game show as well as halftime. Who cares about the ratings!

Needs to start earlier for me... I'm getting too old.

A close fantasy football matchup was the only reason I watched a game to the end last year.

Monday night football is suffering an identity crisis. They've changed the format several times hoping if they threw enough shit at the wall some would eventually stick. If they were smart they would begin to target their key audience, college kids and young adult men. The first step to this would be to get some youth at commentator, John Madden doesn't cut it.
  7. Yes!

I kind of agree but his stupid stories keep you tuned in to find out what the hell it is he's talking about sometimes. They need more vids of the cheerleaders! Just a thought!:tongue2:  :p    :banger:

If I was losing $250M/yr and $150M was Monday Night Football, MNF would cease to exist on my network.

Madden flat out sucks, IMO. He used to drive me crazy on Thanksgiving when he was with Fox. His fat ass would spend half the game talking about that damn six legged Turkey, drawing pictures on the teleprompter of the bottom half of a lineman, or talking about the jets flying overhead. His act is old.

"The thing about turkey legs is when you're looking for a good turkey they have to have good turkey legs. If the turkey doesn't have good turkey legs that's not the kind of turkey legs you wanna be passing out on Thanksgiving day. I've always liked turkey legs and the key to a good turkey is good turkey legs."

    its really not that hard....

start the games at 7:30 pm....pregame at 7:00..eastern time....

to the left coast people....suck it up...if its a big enough game you will watch it anyways...

the other thing that has screwed MNF football is that they are now trying to fit four teams into two nationally telivised games (sun and mon)....this has resulted in horrible matchups....

    It was tongue-in-cheek AKAK.

The only thing worse than hearing Dennis Miller try to talk football was listening to some pill-pushing political talk-show host wax poetic on the sport.

Drop the NFL and start having some College games on Monday and I would tune back in.
