The thing that amazed me the most was the way Trev insisted it was either naivete or a cover-up. My experience in most things is that there is rarely a either/or scenario to most difficult situations. Pretty simplistic evaluation on his part. There is always more to the story than meets the eye and it seems as though both May and Alberts are unwilling to look beyond that which is alleged and/or reported by their colleagues in the media.

Of course it was a simplistic evaluation on Trev's part, because he's a fucking simpleton. And May is nothing but a fucking token boy...

I agree. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell both of these small minds stay on the supposed #1 sports network in the world. The more they open their mouths the more foot gets inserted!

Why is the Jerry Springer show so popular? Or Morton Downey from back in the day? Its an old formula, say really stupid and controversial stuff, piss off a gagle of people and sit back and watch the ratings soar. What demographic is more susceptible to this gimick than college football fans?

ESPIN is all about the $$ and those ass clowns are just grist for the mill. I signed off halfway through 2002 and quite honestly haven't spent a full 60 seconds thinking about them since.

RE: hypocrisy

Leek you really put your finger on it. Great post, man.

But don’t forget about Johnny “Mr. Tennecheat” Majors who with Sherrill were the wheeler and the dealer of east coast football at Pitt for a generation. Dorsett probably made more his senior year as a Panther than in his first two seasons in Dallas.

And Bob Devaney made Osbourne look Mary Poppins. Make that Mary Poppins on steroids. Not surprisingly Bob was born and bred in the state of Meatbag, and came to Lincoln from East Lansing.

the lead half time story was captioned "More off the field problems for Ohio State" Is this something new? If they say "Troy Smith is out" and that's pretty much it, I will really wonder about their editors.. the word "more" implies something new...

I don't see how Maldonado and not having his credits transfer over or something pertains anything to do with boosters. And well it's not like Geiger and Tressel are letting these kids play. They have taken immediate action when such a problem occurs. These fools make a living out of ignorance yet the sad thing is many people do listen to them...

It's just an effort to kill OSU recruiting IMO. What drives me crazy is that there's a legit story of trouble, which should be covered, but 90% of what's being talked about is Clarett's b.s., which has been investigated to death, contradicted by the "former players who said they knew who to go to" themselves . . . and THAT's what's being used to bash the program.

I just checked in with our dear friends on the Grassy (Miami) Board. This is not an exaggeration , 5 of the first 10 threads are related to the Buckeyes.
One is titled, "Even I am starting to feel sorry for Sweater vest".
