Most arrogant fans ever?

notfadeaway

Hall of Fame
Im not sure what everyone elses experience was like at the game today but I was treated very poorly by the nd fans...typical name c:osu: alling and clarett bs....anyone else experience this....because I know this is a bold statement but I hate ND worse than scum!

given some stories after visiting ohio stadium... I don't think we should start this up again.

nd fans can be arrogant at times, but as someone who grew up with domers, spartans and wolverines (SW MI), I can tell you that domers are a pretty classy fanbase on average (much moreso than the other two).

I did. I went to watch the game at a bar with my dad and of course I had an Ohio St. hat, sweatshirt, and jersey. I was minding my own business watching the screen and this guy yells "hey ohio st. guy!" so I turn around and he asks me "how much did ohio st. lose to Penn st. by?". All I said was "7" because I'm still kind of small and I'm 15 and I could tell this guy was drunk and ready to fight. I wanted to ask him how much Notre Dame lost to 5-6 Michigan St. by and where it was at but I decided not too. I couldn't believe this guy would talk shit to a kid who was minding his own and was with his dad. What a classless guy. He was probably one of those bandwagon fans. I hope he's crying in his apartment by himself after that ass whoopin'. By the way, they kicked me out because I was underaged. I went there before when I was like 11 yrs. old but hadn't been back there in 3 years and they told me they changed the rules 2 years ago, oops. Fuck Notre Dame and their classless fans!

Most actual ND alumni are smart, classy, and have a good sense of humor. The problem is that a whole lot of "subway alumni" with king-sized inferiority complexes latch on to ND, and they are the most miserable, disgusting, brutal, paranoid delusional morons I've ever encountered. These are the people I normally run into...ND grads are usually just fine.

But they all share one thing...within a few weeks this will be another victory for Notre Dame, like the victory over USC, etc.

Except for Chief, who showed real class on this site in the run-up to the game and afterwards. That wasn't easy.

It is the bandwagoners that drive me nuts more than anything else.
I went to a ND party at one of my neighbors yesterday. I had to leave before the game started, or I would have killed someone. While I was at the party, my buddy and I decided to do a little experiment with some of the ND fans there. We asked about 12 different people how many players they knew on the team. Here is a scientific breakdown of the answers

12 people asked 9 men 3 women: all considered themselves long time ND fans.

2 people (women) knew 0 players or the coach. one did comment they had a cute QB but did not know his name.

10 knew 1 player (all Brady Quinn) and the coach

3 knew 2 players, Quinn, and Samardija. Although of the three only one came anywhere close to pronouncing his name.

Nobody knew the names of more than two players.

edit: one guy did know that had a real tall black guy receiver

Damn, I guess that makes me more of a Notre Dame fan than any of them, since I can name at least 3 ND players and their coach.

Hmmm... yes...

But, ask them all, and the National Championship is theirs next year.

Of course, a lot of the more "knowledgeable ones" think the same way... one of my favorite reason is they are only losing two guys (or something) from their D. They are oblivious to the fact that this, is, in fact not a good thing.:wink2:

That reminds me, one guy did know that they had a boxer that played defense. Thank god someone told Musberger about it too.

Next year? Hell Notre Dame should win a share this year.... especially since they got a share last year, and the year before, and the year before that and... well, you see where I'm going.

I hate having to split the title with Alabama every year too.

Charlie is going to have to blood some freshman defensive players early next year.
