Most Boring Part of your job

the worst part for me is driving to the northwest corner of the state to visit one of my clients in Williams County. I swear I can almost smell that state up north when I am that close to the border...plus it takes almost four hours to get there from Columbus.

My job is feast or famine. The manuscripts go out to authors, editors, or typesetters, and it seems like they are all out at the same time, and they all come in at the same time. When work is scarce, it's really boring.

ditto.. feast or famine in the General Management consulting business... I'm either making a ton or zip... worst part, always going after the next gig... makes me strongly consider steady work again... as it is now, I love my boss and who I work with... ME...

The most boring part of my job is actually when I'm not doing it. The most boring part about umpiring is driving between cities and when you are in a hotel just waiting for it to be time to go to the ballpark. There is nothing boring about umpiring the actual games when it comes to doing it professionally. Now when it's local high school stuff...that's a different story. It's a lot less boring when your partner who you travel with is cool.

Talking to our primary attorney. He is not so much monotone when he speaks as his voice is just very calming. He usually starts quoting recent decisions and my mind starts wandering. One of his partners is the same way. I'm not sure if it is their firm or what, but I am glad I did not go into law. I would never have made it through the classes without napping.

Airports
I would venture to guess I spend as much time there as anywhere else.
I get caught up on my reading but see my life wasting away.

Right behind that would be the technical ceritications I need to maintain. The classes and manuals could but you to sleep anywhere.

The most boring part of my job is when A-I have to grade 50 history essays, or B-monthly staff meetings-we waste 20 minutes w/ a long, drawn out, prayer, then listen to people ramble about things that could be summarized in 3 or 4 sentences on a memo.
