Michael Vick is a good one...he's had about 4 good games...total.

Jake Plummer is another. Every time he is on TV, the commentators always say he can "do things no one else can" and then throws like 4 interceptions.

Aaron Brooks also comes to mind.

Warren Sapp on defense. He's fast for a big man, but usually had like 35 tackles and 2 or 3 sacks for a season.

And the most overrated player of all-time: Deion Sanders, who was a good corner, but the greatest ever? Not even close. He should write a check to all of the pantywaste offensive coordinators who "never dared" throw his way for single-handedly creating his reputation.

Have you ever seen Vick's stat line, here's an example, 134 yds. passing, 62 yds. rushing 1 TD and two ints.

That doesn't sound like Hall of Fame material to me.

Also, another good one mentioned above is Aaron Brooks. Has anyoone ever seen more of a Jekyl and Hyde QB and team than the Saints this year?

Let's see... Two years ago with Vick, the Falcons made the playoffs. Last year without him, they sucked balls. This year with Vick, they are a playoff team again. He is the focal point of the defense for every team the Falcons play, to the point that his very presence makes his team much better.

If you want some overrated players, take a look at some of the ass-clowns that started off on my fantasy team this year - Aaron Brooks, Kevan Barlow, Keyshawn Johnson, CLINTON PORTIS, Amani Toomer... You could argue that all of these guys are also the focus of their opponents' defensive strategy (except Toomer), but at least Vick quatifiably makes his team vastly better. These guys obviously don't do the same, since their respective teams all suck.

Thank you!! How is Vick overrated? He is 22-11-1 as a starter? Has won a playoff game in Green Bay!!!! He might not put up great throwing yards like Manning but he wins!! He won a playoff game before Manning did. He has great talent and great potential (which he is already coming into this season).

Last season without Vick we only won 2 games then he came back for the last 4 games and he won 3 of the 4. He might not be a "typical" QB but he is a great QB.

How is he overrated? Well, Favre, Elway, and Marino all played a great deal of their career as the focal point of opposing defenses also (all 3 played significant portions of their career with no running game to speak of, though I guess Favre had the most help of the three) and their numbers and success dwarf that of Vick. No one is saying he's not a good QB and a dangerous weapon...my point is that for about 6 years all the pundits have been slobbering all over themselves saying he's the next elite NFL QB...and so far he isn't. That's being overrated.

As for the team's turnaround...sure, he has a lot to do with it, but so does the Falcon D, which has overachieved to the nth this season.

Being a long time Raiders fan, I can say without any doubt that the most overratede play in the NFL is Charles Woodsen. For a guy with such a great reputation, he's a major turd. He consistenly gets burnt or makes p.o. penalties. The Raiders better not re sign him after this season. The best play in his career was the sack of Brady which later turned out to be the b.s. 'tuck rule' play.

scUM turd.

I still do not think he is overrated. Yeah he hasnt lived up to the great PASSING of Manning, Favre, Marino.... but few do.

I do think he is one of the top 5 rounded QB in the leauge. (Manning, Caulpepper, McNabb, Favre, and then Vick) He relies on his legs a little 2 much but he has got better this season with that. Jim Mora has tought Vick alot this season and will continue to teach him. Vick just started in the West Coast Offence. Give him a year or 2 and he will be putting up the PASSING yards and Less rushing!

and the Falcons D overachieving??? What are you talking about? We have a 3 time Pro-Bowler at LB (brooking), one of the best D ends in the leauge (kerney), a great run/pass rusher (coleman), and Solid DB's (DHall, Corey Hall, and Bryan Scott)

----

Like I said in another post if you cant tell I am a HUGE falcons fan, even got a 12 inch Falcon tattoo on my calf.
