Most Underrated Movies (merged)

Snatch-If Lock-Stock doesn't count, Snatch definitely doesn't. One of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen. Nonstop laughs and a good story.

Suicide Kings-All kinds of good performances in here. Jay Mohr, Dennis Leary, Sean Patrick Flannery. Though I liked him in it.. you know a movie's good when you feel Chris Walken *OPINION plz don't kill me :)* delivers one of the poorer performances of the movie.
damn you, you beat me to Snatch, that is one of my all-time favorites, and i definitely agree with Suicide Kings also

some others:
Happiness - gotta love a movie that can be this black, AND this funny
Beautiful Girls - agreed, great dialogue
Butterfly Effect - not sure what you guys thought of this one, i stayed away cuz of Ashton Koutcher, but i thought it was a very cool movie that was thrashed by the critics
K-Pax - nobody ever talks about this movie, but one of my all-time favs that has a lot of deep undertones to it about life on Earth that you don't really pick up on the first time
Basketball Diaries - came before Requiem and Spun, like it more than Requiem, haven't seen Spun yet, Leonardo actually acting before he become Mr. Hollywood

i've also heard that Irreversible is a very powerful and disturbing flick

Excellent point souL, The Usual Suspects was not even in the top ten movies the year it was relesed (1995) and I'd wager more people have not seen it as compared to have. Focus.
I'd always wager that more people have NOT seen a movie than have. It'd require about 3.2 BILLION people to see it in order for it to qualify the other way .
Seriously though, The Usual Suspects has one of the most famous characters ever, referenced in MANY, MANY other works. I've seen Keyser Soze mentioned in Comics, Books, Movies, Magazines. Tell me it's not popular and I laugh in your face. Don't make me laugh there guy.

Usual Suspects is one of my favorite movies of all time. people really think this is an unpopular flick? it had a rap video spoof it once (cant remember who or what song).

Of those of you who saw it, what did you guys think of Kids? It freaked me out and bummed me out, but I really thought it was a good movie.
I wasn't sure what to feel after that movie. But you're right, it was a pretty good movie.

If you have ever watched "The Wire" on HBO, love that show by the way, Telly has been a full-time character on both seasons playing the white crackhead Johnny.

A friend of mine was from the same town in NJ as Telly. She said he used to own a skate shop and turned into an asshole after he got a little famous.

I just saw 'Beautiful Girls' because of this thread - good call.

I don't think 'The Spanish Prisoner' has been mentioned. A good David Mamet story with Steve Martin.
