Apparently, the de facto championship game was played in Alliance three weeks ago.

North Central had nothing but blowouts the rest of the way, including in the title game over Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Mount Union defeats Wartburg 34-31 to reach the title game, again. They'll play the winner of North Central and Mary Hardin-Baylor, because of course it's those two teams.

North Central destroyed MHB, 49-14. The Purple Raiders look like the underdog in the title game. Over half of North Central's wins are by 50 or more points. Insane.

For the third straight playoff, Mount's season ends with a loss to North Central. This time in the Stagg Bowl, 28-21.

North Central led 21-0 in the 4th quarter before Mount's late rally came up short.

Mount Union got bounced at home in the second round of the D-III playoffs by Alma College, who I never heard of until 10 minutes ago.

Alma College is located in Michigan, because of course it is. Fuck this Saturday.
