Movies that should have never been re-made...

Gobucki

I'm using the Internet!!!
Planet of the Apes.
Remake almost made me throw up and actually made me hate the original.

The Italion Job.
The original was a genuine classic and the remake was just another vanilla action movie.

Ladykillers
The 1955 original was one of the best movies ever and the remake was just plain sloppy.

Disagree with you here (you were dead on with the others), it wasn't some great action movie with some great plot and/or twist, but it was definitely worth watching.

Have to agree on Planet of the Apes.

I will throw out Get Carter, Godzilla, and Shaft as some of the worst. And The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake was kind of disappointing. Some of my favorite remakes are Cape Fear, The Bourne Identity, and Oceans 11.

I totally agree with you. The movie was sweet, but I'd have watched it just for Charlize Theron...even if she is old.

Well, I only watch Reindeer Games for a 2 minute portion.
Have you ever seen 2 days in the valley? The 2 minutes is much better in my opinion.

The Devil's Advocate is a good movie if you want to stare at Charlize Theron (minus the part where she's all cut up). It's also one of Keanu Reeves' best performances, but then again it's like saying 'It's one of Donny's most well thought out responses.'

Good remake? Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman is a great remake of Ichi the Blind Masseur.

I haven't seen Ladykillers, but it's a Cohen Bros. movie, and they're the best. Is it that bad?

In short, YES !!! I am a huge fan of the Cohen brothers but Ladykillers was horrific. Two hours of my life I will never get back.

Anyway, back on topic, I am also a big Vincent Price fan, and while displeased at the thought that House on Haunted Hill was re-made, I have to admit that it wasn't a terrible movie until the lame-ass ending.

By the way, The Amityville Horror is about to be re-made with Ryan Reynolds playing the father.......WTF?
