Mozilla FireFox Help!?

BuckeyeFlorida

Resident Science Dork
Howdy all! Hope everyone's on the downside of the last day before Buckeyes football. I'm having issues with Firefox... It's worked fine, no problems, but now I can't pull up ANY websites with it. However, IE works no problem. Any thoughts?

Do you have any firewall software on your computer... ie. Norton Firewall or ZoneAlarm? If so, check their settings to see if Firefox is on the approved list of apps that can connect to the internet.

If you use Norton Personal Firewall try this:
Open-up norton personal firewall. Click on personal firewall. Then click on configure. Select "programs" at the top of the new window. At the bottom, scroll down to mozilla-firefox and where it says "Block All", click there and select "permit all." Save and close.

anyone know what I can do to have pdf file launch from Firefox? also, there are a couple sites that Firefox says it can't get to.. whereas IE can... reads "connection refused".. is there a setting I need to look at that blocks certain sites?

I'm sure you fellas already found this but just in case... any bookmarks you put into the top folder (Bookmark Toolbar Folder) sits very conveniently on the top row for immediate one step selection... KOOL...

BuckeyeFlorida,

Glad that worked for you! I've been using Firefox for over a year and am extremely happy with it... I think it is very easy to use and I really like the extension features to customize my browser to how I want it.
