Did anyone confirm that it is indeed halo 1 and not just a skin for halo 2-11ty?
The way I understand it is this: That each Halo game(1, 2, 3, 4) will run on its original engine. -The engine that shipped with the original release. They stated that "this was what we wanted for the previous Halo CE anniversary" so they drew a distinction between the two releases. But, I admit I was especially listening to the Multiplayer parts of the MC Collect. But again, for Combat Evolved its not as it was in Reach where they tune a Reach based pistol to "act" like Combat Evolved's pistol. The MC Collect's Combat Evolved will truly have the pistol because the code that was written for that weapon originally will be what is actually running in the MC Collection. In other words a true "3 shot" as was referenced in the tweet from the Xbox guy.

But each game will get the new 1080p, 60 fps skin I think. Classifications anyone?

Another cool thing I learned was that forge will be included in the game. I found this interesting because I really was thinking it might get axed just because it was already at such a crazy amount of content for a $60.00 dollar game. When asked earlier in the day Frank O'Conner basically said that 1) they were hoping to include it but that data constraints was a limiting factor -and that- 2) they were unsure it clip recording/video clipping was or wasn't going to be included for the same constraint fears.
But, later in the day, when IGN was doing a sit down interview with the 343i team they were actually given a tour through how the game lobby and match-making hopper would both look and operate. The IGN guy then just asked the same question if forged would be included or not. This guy, who wasn't Frank O'Conner, spurts out that "Yes! it would be." and that not only would it be Forge, but a true forge based on forges from games 2, 3, and 4.

Why is that important? Because community made maps are awesome and often some of the better thought out maps. Give the community a powerful tool to create maps and game types and you will get free maps/content that comes from true fans who understand great game play needs. Several of these maps find there way to the public match-making each years. So glad to hear they are shipping it out with a fully functional forge.
