Oneshot

Goes For Three
Hey, guys:

I'm going to Columbus.

For the first time in my life, I am going to watch a game at the Horseshoe.

I finally bought my ticket and I'm going on Friday night. I'm staying till Monday morning.

My question is: What should any trueblood Ohio State fan do in these two days?

WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Get drunk, cheer a lot, and burn a couch. What else? :)

Heck, just do what I've been doing every weekend I'm in Columbus for a game. Friday night, go to the South Campus Gateway bars (Eddie George's, McFaddens, Skye, Ugly Tuna) and if you are still able to stand and walk, make a trip to Lucky's Stout House (my personal favorite), which is just a block south on 9th Ave. Saturday, everything is going down on Lane and there is too much to do to list. I personally don't care much for Hineygate but it's worth a trip if you've never been. Try and make it out onto campus if you've never seen it before. The Oval is pretty during the fall with the leaves changing color. Go to the Skull Session, it will start at 1:30, but you'll need to find a seat 20-30 mins prior. Sunday morning, if you can get up early, get breakfast at Jack & Benny's on Hudson and High St. Awesome breakfast diner, but you gotta get there before 10:00 AM - the place is a hole in the wall and when the hung-over college crowd wakes up the line is out the door and around the block.

This is how my Saturday would (and probably will) go. Get to campus as early as possible - at a noon game, 9:00 is the absolute latest, for a 3:30, I would still try to be there by 9:30 or 10:00. I go to tailgates before, but if you don't know of any to attend, you could start off at the Varsity Club on Lane. Drink. Go to the skull session (as stated earlier, I'd be inside by 1:00). Another drink (or 6) on Lane or tailgates (VC / Hineygate ...wherever you feel more comfortable). After the game, I would head down to the arena district for dinner / evening festivities.

I would recommend starting the day at Hinie-gate. Party it up there until the game. After the game I would go to Varsity Club. All of this will encounter a lot of drinking and people of the opposite sex. It is very easy to find because there will be like a million people there. Once you find Lane Ave, you found the party.

Good Luck

Cheers
