My thought on what's going on with Malik

I think that Malik wants to go to UCLA. He is blinded by the Hollywood limelight and their flashy recruiting class. Then you have Moms and Pops, who don't want Malik to go to LA....and want him close to home. So that leaves you OSU and scUM....they tell him to look closer to home for what he wants. So they go to scUM on Sunday and they hear the same ol song, unimpressive. They re-group and then feel that it leaves Ohio State as the obvious choice. Pops is happy and tells Kyle comments that lead to the Buckeyes. Well, time goes on and Malik buys time by saying he wants to talk things over with everyone, especially coach Speedy. So now here we are and Malik has a few schools where he could fit into well, but the one on the top of his list is over 2,000 miles away. Does he leave girlfreind, parents, freinds and coaches for "Sunny California"....or be content going to OSU. Just a rant.

I thought we had all agreed to forget about Fred Davis. :)

Some quotes from Buckaholic seem to indicate that he doesn't feel that UCLA is still involved in this. I personally feel that it's down to OSU and Kansas, with the Buckeyes winning out in the end.

    Some major knocks on UCLA...

The only one of 6 schools that isn't Nike.
Malik isn't sold on the starting spot.
    Father isn't sold on Howland.
Mother definitely doesn't want him on the west coast.
The "glamour" of UCLA has cooled for even Malik.

Just doesn't seem they are likely at this moment in time.

According to the latest Rivals update Ohio State is #1 and Kansas is #2 in the Malik sweepstakes. Looks like Holic may have nailed this one.

Please, no celebration until it's over.

And either way Holic nailed it. For a few months now all these people have been saying OSU had no chance and clearly we did. Now I know he was forced to make his final prediction and he picked OSU, but even if Malik chooses differently, Holic was right on almost everything else he reported. But he'll still take tons of crap from jerks on BNs if it doesn't go down as we hope.

The latest news as to why Malik is delaying...Pete carroll called and told Malik he is USC's number one prospect...

I'm sure Kansas can be interchangeable with UCLA, and switch around the reasoning. But I feel fact remains that Malik doesn't feel like Ohio State is the choice for him, but pops is pushing for it. I think Malik has a hard time seeing himself win an NCAA championship here.

Just the whole O-H thing. Or is that in all your posts? Ah, what the heck

Dude, are you just always on your muscle? I'm not here to tell that you can't be but you need to lighten up a bit. No one is celebrating anything. I doubt I even "celebrate" when and if Malik picks the Buckeyes. If I get the urge though I will certainly make sure to ask you if it's ok. Is that cool?

Dude, are you? I just said "Please, no celebrating" and you get all excited.

I'll lighten up when other people lighten up. As long as somebody is starting a thread mocking Chris Gamble(not you and not what we are discussing here, but I assume you're not just talking about ligtening up because of this one post), I'm going to be "on my muscle".

With all the "dude" references, I feel like I'm watching "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"

Anyway, Holic is all over the Malik saga...I have complete trust in his analysis

Who the hell are you to tell me or anyone else to celebrate or not, especially considering no one was doing any celebrating? To answer your question, no, I could care less if you want to be the champion of every current or ex-Buckeye player on this board. You can defend them until your fingers fall off for all I care, but this is the second time you've had something to say directly to me regarding one of my posts. Last time it was because I said I didn't give a rat's ass if Malik chose to go somewhere else other than Ohio State. Last time I checked my mortgage payment will still be due at the end of the month and the sun will still rise every morning whether he goes to Kansas, scUM or Ohio State. With all that's been going on in my life recently I'm just happy to be alive. Am I allowed to celebrate that or would you frown upon that as well?

Nobody. I said, please, and who the hell are you to tell me I can't comment about people celebrating.

Let me assure you from the tone of your last post, you have a much bigger problem then me then I do with you. I have no problem with you. I thought it was an innocent enough comment. I'm not discussing this further in this thread.
