eNTp, or the Inventor Rational? Wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf? I've never invented anything in my life. I'm an engineer pimp. :(

A lot of engineers are ENTPs. After all, who designs (invents) the new products and gadgets we all buy and need in life?

From the Keirsey description of ENTPs: Of the four aspects of strategic analysis and definition it is the functional engineering or inventive role that reaches the highest development in Inventors.

I have taken this test four times now and it has been nearly ten years since the last time I took it. Every time I am an ISTJ. I would have thought the answer might have changed during that period.

On a whim, I took the one linked in the original post, and came out with;

INTJ
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging
Strength of the preferences %
44 56 78 11

Which is odd, because in well over a dozen times before, all on much more involved testing processes, I've always been INTP. To be fair, however, J/P has always been the closest for me (albeit always, until now, in the P). T is always polarized, often more than it is here.

So I'm still INTp (little 'p' on purpose), came up with that result too many times to think any differently.

Interestingly (amusingly), Joanna/Longwoodbuck is an ESFJ.

After seeing your post, I decided to try the test in the link as well:

INTJ type description by D.Keirsey
INTJ type description by J. Butt and M.M. Heiss

Qualitative analysis of your type formula
You are:
 • moderately expressed introvert
 • moderately expressed intuitive personality
 • distinctively expressed thinking personality
 • slightly expressed judging personality
I think I've taken this test at least 3 times prior (highschool, college, and once last year,) and I have always been a INTP. I had just taken it about a year ago while I was working with a career service that I had hired. Anyways, when I first took the test, my closest categories were always the I and E sections. I was 51%/49% when I took the test in highschool & college, but I think that the delta between those sections widens, since people tend to become more introverted as they build families and careers.

I think that the T/J delta was the closest the previous time that I took the test. After reading the INTJ descriptions, I see characteristics that are also reflected in my actions. So maybe I'm really an INTp/j or INTj/p.

ISFJ, apparently like

Mother Teresa
Louisa May Alcott
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Queen Elizabeth II of England
Robert E. Lee
Queen Mary I ("Bloody Mary") of England

This is pretty accurate, considering most people of this type are good at teaching and careers that have to do with conservation (including librarians, which I'm studying to be right now -- let the jokes begin).

It figures that a liberal resident from Taxachussetts would be pro-queen!
