The announcement may not come for two weeks, according to the Arizona Republic. But the paper, and others, report that the voting shows Nash edging LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki, Chauncey Billups and Kobe Bryant for the MVP.
This season, Nash had career-highs in points (18.8 points per game), rebounds (4.2 per game), field goal percentage (51.2 percent) and free throw percentage (92.1 percent -- best in the league). He was also the league-leader in assists (10.5) and shot nearly 50 percent from three-point range.
The Suns are currently playing the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
A year ago, Nash edged Shaquille O'Neal in what was the fourth-closest balloting in history.

I can't fault that pick. Nash won it last year with worse numbers and more talent around him. There might be 2 or 3 NBA teams that wouldn't take Nash as their starting PG.

And that really is the reason he won. No way he deserved that award over Dirk, Lebron or Kobe.

And before you say, the writers think of Dirk as a Euro, not as white. Steve Nash gets a pass because most people don't even know he's Canadian - or at least don't acknowledge it.

Just curious who that might be. I don't care who your pg is, Nash is the best in the league and doesnt take a back seat to anyone.

I don't deny he is the best, but I doubt the Spurs would part with Parker, and I'm sure that there is another team or 2 that wouldn't trade their PG for Nash.

he did it this year without the bigman and with best stats

I'd take Billups over Nash. I'm sure the Pistons would too. You see, one knows how to play defense - and he does it exceptionally well.
